I was thrilled when I invited ‪@PaleoCris‬ and Bri to this creek and they were able to join me. I knew we would have the best time together and find some beautiful pieces of history along the way. Cris and I also took the time to sit down with y'all and discuss some of the big things on our mind. Hope y'all enjoy!

This is what it’s all about, my friend. A day outdoors with friends, disconnected from all the madness, enjoying the simple things. I’m also glad we’ve decided to start openly talking about important issues in front of everybody rather than always when the camera is off. It’s way, way overdue. Let’s get back here ASAP and do some sifting!

It’s 2020 and I’m stuck at home alone, like so many millions of other people. The KZfaq algorithm suggests a video from someone going by WildKyle where he and his friend PaleoChris go hunting for giant shark teeth. This isn’t something I was previously interested in, but I figured what the hell. Now, almost four years later, I get excited with each new post. I’ve since rediscovered my childhood love for rockhounding, even resulting in finding portions of a dinosaur skeleton on one of my outings. Something 10 year old me only dreamed about. But it’s not about the rocks or the fossils, it’s about the adventure you take to get them. The joy of spending time with family and friends doing something you all enjoy. The things you bring home are just the bonus. Thanks to you guys, and that fire you reignited in me because of your charming personalities and friendship that bleeds through the screen, I’ve seen and been places I never would have otherwise. There are times when I actually have to remind myself that I dont actually know you😅. That’s how authentic you both come across as. I decided to write these thoughts down because of the conversation at the end of this video. About how important community is, real actual community, not the fake one masquerading as channel growth or likes. I may never meet you in real life, but I’m proud to feel like I have you as friends… even if that only goes one way through a screen. Keep up the good work, boys (and Brie😅)! We need more like you.

If ever the day comes where we could meet in person I would jump at the opportunity. WildKyle & PaleoCris have always felt so genuine that I forget about the screen between us. Thank you for being yourselves & taking us all along to enjoy your adventures, your friendship & your authentic joy of discovery. I'm with you all the way!

Mother Nature is the best drug. The only thing better than enjoying Mother Nature. Is enjoying it with a friend. I have been doing what you do for 61 years now. It only gets better. Your best memories will be of your friends. Thanks for picking up the trash. If everyone would pick up trash every time they went outdoors than in about a hundred years we would make a huge difference 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍

We need a people circle of friends, thats how I grew up! I have 3 close friends in my life for over 40yrs. I have known them BEFORE internet. You and Chris need to be friends for the rest of your lives. Grow a circle of those who are there through thick and thin. The best friend you will ever know is Jesus. Love you both ❤

Your interlude with the philosophical comments was awesome! I vote for more of that touch in your videos. And this is coming from someone who loves your content. It is that important for all of us to hear the message that you have to share. We all need to constantly be reminded that we only get one chance to live this life and to interact with people on the other side of our devices. I have been guilty of isolating myself due to things going on in my life and not wanting to trouble my friends, but I can attest to how uplifted I feel when I let go of that and spend quality time with quality people. Thank you for the bonus touch to your video! As always, Stay Wild and Stay Kyle!

You young men are intelligent beyond your years! We need more young people like you to talk about the issues of the day. Many have isolated themselves in this technological world and can no longer engage with others. We need to start communicating directly. Find people with like interests and ideation. We need to reconnect, form communities, re-engage. Use your community to reach out to your followers. Who knows, how many people you can encourage to set down their phones and start a conversation? You two strike me as two thinkers and dreamers, like Emerson and Thoreau. We all need to take a walk in the woods. Really look at the world around us. Reconnect, see where we’ve come from so we can make enlightened decisions about where we want to go together!

The addiction of technology these days is awful. My daughter lives on her phone. It's so awful these days and it has caused social anxiety, because people can't face to face with anyone anymore, and obesity! People sit in one place and eat and they have lives online that they could never have in person. But I'm from the generation when we didn't have TV, or cell phones, or computers. We had friends, our bikes, and empty fields where we would make bike ramps and jumps. We had neighbors we would talk to and didnt have the crime, or drugs to worry about. I miss those days. Your honest talks and the comfort level you all have with each other, is amazing. And I know that I have no hope of ever meeting you all face to face. I live in Oregon and the PNW is a far cry from Florida, but a meet and greet and trash pick up would be awesome! What a marvelous idea! And if you all ever do make it to the West Coast, I would love to meet you and shake your hands! Your bottle finds were awesome but it's so much more than that. It's seeing you all have fun. To see friends that can hang out in the creek, like friends do! Thanks Kyle, Cris, and Bri!❤️

I feel every bit of what you guys said in the serious conversation to my core! I have been disconnecting from social media and just focusing on going out to have a good time and recording the adventure along the way - in the hopes of growing a community to get out and explore together - to essentially find my tribe. I am openly FAR from perfect - but really good at being a socially awkward nature/history/ neurodivergent kind soul! I've followed/subscribed to yall since the beginning - and have loved getting to see the" real" parts of life just as much as any of it. I appreciate and empathize the honesty and openness in regards to mental health. So many of us deal with feeling "not enough" or "too much" TOO MUCH OF THE TIME - and the more people are open about their struggles and form connection the better! Love you guys - forever a fan (and would love to do a fossil hunt some time!) - Cindy

Hi guys! I have a couple of suggestions for you: * Get some maps, yes paper maps (gasp)! Use them to find your destinations instead of your cell phone. The world is a much bigger place than your cell phone and there are lots of things to see & do along the way! * Call people, don’t text. Especially people older than you, you might just brighten their day! * If you still have your parents, talk to them about their childhood, school, their dreams, anything you can think of. * Keep hunting for old stuff, it’s cool! * Keep loving life!

The G. De Koning Tilly bottle is an counterfeit from a Dutch product called Haarlemmerolie (a miracle oil / dietary supplement made of turpentine oil, herbs and sulfur). The original company who made the oil (C. De Koning Tilly) sued this company in 1905 and won. Very rare and nice finding.

I wish MORE people would get "real" and talk about real life. Right now we're using technology to escape life! And I do it to a little myself. I see people walking around with earphones in , phones out, making no eye contact with anyone. Well, I could continue, but just wanted you to know, my husband, son and myself were glued to every word you guys were saying. God bless you both! 😊❤

You two are absolutely right about all you said about cellphones and addiction. I’ve worked with adolescents for nearly 30 years and it breaks my heart to see how much their lives have changed for the worse with social media and phones.

The only way is to be outdoors. It clears your mind and puts a whole new perspective on life. It's hard to explain but its there. I've lived my life outdoors , I know. Thanks.

I wanna hug both of you. And Brie. ❤ So much I wanna say, so little organization in my brain …. Therapy is great, be it traditional or alternative (with great care and caution!!). Connection and groups can be so helpful there, too. I‘m my group therapy with goof people. It is so rewarding and feels good in a way that only connection can bring.

Always loved your creek adventures. From the excitement you have with every find to the children of the forests and creepy dolls you have always made me smile. Enjoyed coming alone with your adventures and hearing your stories and music. Thank you for being a rock in this crazy internet stream…look forward to many more adventures.

I love that you've all found your lost marbles! Clearly Chris has lost the least! I love that very real Convo you had. A lot of creators are stopping or breaking from creating due to the mental health issues. It's very sad. I love the content from outdoors where I can't be and that it's making people I find so incredible, sick. That makes me sad.

I know you have a lot of comments, but I feel I need to say this. I’m glad to hear your views on social media, I grew up without any technology. We had friends and community, but as years pass by this has gone. I really enjoy your conversation. We used to play out, and have adventures everyday. If we did anything wrong, and we were seen, we’d be in trouble when we got home. Everyone knew each other, and would talk , and if you needed anything you could always find help. I enjoyed your finds and your conversation. It’s so nice to see Bree and Chris, and the connection you guys have. Thank you guys

As a person of a “certain age”, I appreciate your approach to societal issues. It’s great to think about life from a different perspective. I love how aware you and Chris and your friends are! And, as a person who lives alone, I appreciate you talking to your audience. Thanks for all you do! ❤

There is a old saying it takes a village to raise a child. I believe this. In the old days kids where left to play but it wss outside. Everyone watched out for each other an their children. We need his now in our life time. Peoples in the old days maybe just twenty to thirty years ago visited with each other.

Hey Kyle, I'm so glad that you and Chris are on KZfaq and talking about important things. My boys are 20 and I fear for their social lives because of Social media! Online gaming. One of the twins have made friends online but rarely goes out. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. I'm glad that there are young people concerned with this issue especially two young men. As a mom of two young men, it is a concern and hopefully my guys will see you or people like you and be inspired. I know you inspire me and I love watching your channels. I love learning. At 55, I still am learning and never plan to stop. Love you both. Keep up the good work. Hugs. Proud of you. 😊
