After all that has happened, I'm amazed this is still running. I was there ~ 2002 ~ 2004. Insurance debacle & the loss of reality due to perhaps & added to the amount of people in the boat. I won't give details. Why is such a high speed race run whilst "house boats" are even there? Ya need to go sky diving or something. just look at the rates? It has to be safer!!!!

Gotta agree on house boats, down straights maybe it’s alright, but on the exits of corners it’s actually daft to have a houseboat there

@@SkiRacingOz Mate - back in the day they were doin 160kph. I've heard of a recent incident just this year. It's no longer a ""spectator" sport. It's just - well. You fill in the adjectives. I used to love the weekend. Now, what, a roll of the dice?

@@rumplestiltzkin5451 Mate, until just now we had the safest 3 years in the sports history, as a whole or per member, just this past month we’ve had a bad run yes, but safety is constantly improving and once we get neck harnesses in we’ll be all but clear from the bad, it has its risks but we’re mitigating every one we can.

@@SkiRacingOz I wish you and ya ol'mates best o luck. I wouldn't ski the Murray past 60kph. Too many underwater obstacles. I guess I'm too old for it now. All the best

@@rumplestiltzkin5451 thanks mate, can definitely understand your viewpoint on speeds😂 sometimes I’m out there and think wtf am I doing strapped to a boat on a glorified log at 80 mph
