cloudwheels with a bamboo deck are as smooth-a-ride as I need.

I’ve looked into this exact comparison and what I found is that the rubber wheel are way more comfortable but you get much less range.

I've been using cloud wheels for about a year of riding. My board has a 12s4p battery, dual belt driven motors, and I reach speeds over 35mph. I run into rocks and gravel where I ride all the time and cloud wheels knock them out of the way. The cloud wheels have endured considerable wear and tear over the time and heavy use, I'm considering different wheel options, but don't want to sacrifice the safety that cloud wheels have brought me. I think the hardness of cloud wheels contributes to their ability to skip rocks out from underneath the wheels, throwing them to the side. I'm not so sure a softer wheel could do this as effectively, and I don't think they would last as long either. After spending some time considering different options, I still can't find a comfortable choice above cloud wheels.

120 mm cloud wheels require an adapter?

I have both...I keep the CW on due to weight re range. The other ones are much sticker, you can even hear them peeling off the off the asphalt which is actually a really cool sound. Your 590 vs 485 isn't accurate as the cloud wheels didn't have the bearings in which definitely affects the final weight. Not sure why you didn't put them in for this test (to be valid). But CW are definitely lighter. I will get a set for my new DIY board and will use 7" pneumatic wheels on it. I'm okay doing this because my top speed is way Beyond 70 km an hour and I don't need to go that fast. 55kmh cruising speed is actually very doable on the right road.

As someone who has both 105mm clouds and 115mm rubbers. I prefer the cloud wheels but both are good.

Are the 120m better than Madwheels??

I prefer the 115. feels way smoother with better grip (tested on onsra challenger direct drive)
