Holy W😍W! The 3D effect is amazing! I was skeptical about the clay clouds but I should know your creative instincts always prevail! On the right side of coaster 2, there's a bit of wispy cloud on the side that is a perfect compliment to the whole piece. I don't think the wisps are distracting. They just add to the 3D effect. I'm new to resin and you are an excellent teacher and inspiration! Thank you ❣️

For anyone else who works with resin - NEVER, EVER use a torch on a silicone mold. No matter how careful you are, you WILL burn and ruin your mold. 56:57 - You can see where the coaster is slightly stuck to the mold. On lesser-quality molds, that would have ruined the mold by having to tear it to get the coaster out. NEVER, EVER USE A TORCH ON SILICONE MOLDS.

I think they are beautiful and different.I love the idea of the clouds .Try clumping them more and having some blank space as in the photo.I don’t think you need the white on the back…Look beautiful for Summer drinks outside 🥰

Idk that you can get a really realistic cloud shape with the paper clay. It's pulp. It doesn't really move like clouds. But it's a good stand-in for clouds and you did a great sunset. I really loved the sunset.

These are so pretty. Try it with the white in the middle layer or add it before you add the colors to the back. Also, the clouds would be more dimensional if you could do a light gray along with the white.

These colors blended so narural, I love it!. I also see a potential to make a sunset going down over the ocean. Turn the piece fully around. Just tweak where the cloud placements will be. No need to add a sandy beach. Just a view of being a drift at sea.

Try marbling your clay with a little bit of gray. Clouds aren't just white. They are mainly several light shades of grey with white outlines on the top and darkest gray shadow on the bottom. Also, use a few strands of cotton pulled from cotton balls (cotton wool) for the thinner, streaks of clouds. If you do it right, the little wisps of cotton will look amazing!
@ArkMedic1
@ArkMedic1 2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad that you painted the opaque white on the back. On the other side, it gives it more of a realistic effect, because when you look up into the sky, you can see little whisps of transparent whisps of clouds, which is what those look like. It's not all just the clumps of clouds. I do not in mean to refer to your clouds as clumps, but that's all I could think of at the time, because you used that word a lol. I like it, and I would have liked to have seen a little more of it actually, like the streaks in between the clouds. Also, what else do you see alot of in the sky? Strikes of white lines from airplanes exhausts!! There are all types of white things in the sky! I would like to see you do one of these of a night sky, and just use tiny pieces of your "clumps" to make stars! Because, as I said, it's natural looking just like the sky! You know, we've really got to come up with another name other than clumps for the clay shavings you've made, that could be a universal name to refer to them for anything you're using them for! Any suggestions followers?

Beautiful colors! Personally, I’d say second layer of clouds thicker. Stay in your lines. Keep resin colors in horizon lines. No wispy. Maybe even a deep midnight blue at top of blue sky like the nights sky rolling in. Stunning! Thank you for teaching new techniques and taking it for the team! Much love!

Yes! Came here to say this, add a 4th colour above the blue. Keep it a bit more horizontal lined. My faves were 3 and 4, not a huge fan of the added white I think. Definitely looking forward to seeing you do it again!

Wonderful! Gorgeous clouds! The wispy white does look like cirrus clouds! If you look up pictures, your wispy clouds match cirrus perfectly!! If you want cirrus clouds, maybe just keep them in the blue area, higher in the sky. The 3D effect definitely comes through the the video! “Shut the Front Door”, talk about stunning. Absolutely love your creativity. I was thinking, if you wanted to use the white pigment, when you place your second coat of resin, do a little of the white whispies, add your clouds around them, then pour your coloured resin. I have no idea 🤷‍♀️ if it would work better that way. However, it may be worth a try. What do you think 💭. I showed my partner , and he also found them stunning. We are both in agreement on how wonderfully talented you are. Thank you 🙏 Julie, for all you do to bring joy to all of us who follow you 🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️
