Lol I was half expecting to hear that song over and over like another KZfaqr had it drove them crazy lol they literally switched off the sound in their room but was on when they explored the ship sounds like it's only on during arrival and departure though ⛴️ great ship btw itsuka loved the food your my kinda person (guy? Sorry not sure if ya a guy or a woman I assume male?) I love the carb food .. lol can't always eat healthy esp on a cruise or holiday!!

@@rachaelk7866 Looks like Itsuka is a gril. Or maybe a dude with an immaculate manicure and painted nails. But Itsuka used the female public bath (according to Japanese convention, red is women-only, blue is men-only), and body language displayed so far reads "female," regardless of what the person themselves wishes to divulge.

I have taken this exact trip, slept in the open tatami room. It was very relaxing and a fun way to travel across the country and save on a hotel room. I hope to do it again someday

afraid I haven’t slept on the floor since 1979 - you’d have to have a ambulance and two big guys with a stretcher waiting to carry me out 😳 the rest of the trip is doable and looks enjoyable - but no matter how clean how cute how few other travellers - some of us just can’t do floor beds 😳 glad you’re well and starting to travel again - cont good health from 🇨🇦😷🙏

@@vickyschnorbus4166 plus for that price I'm surprised they don't offer a cheap small free meal like 120 bucks at least provide a small meal .. I mean I liked the buffet but 100 yen is about 20 NZ dollars you can get a decent meal for that seemed pricey but looked nice lol I'd load up my plate too (is it a buffet that you can go back to for seconds too? Or just a one time alacart ?) And go for seconds

I could never sleep on the floor, I'm with you on that! Maybe if I stacked all the cushions, but I'm not young anymore either. I would spend the extra money for a bed. It looks like a good time otherwise!

昔のさんふらわあは、カーペットにそのまま寝てた覚えがあります。随分変わったんですね。感染症対策もあるのでしょうか。今度別府に帰省する際はさんふらわあ久しぶりに乗ってみようと思います。ラスト近くにうつった故郷の風景がとても印象的でした。動画アップ有難うございました。

Lol how many were in there though ? They said only 100 ppl on board prob a majority is truck drivers who have their own accomadation wing and others prob picking more suites and cabins so prob be just about on ya own there .. prob no diff to staying in a backpackers / hostel as long as ppl didn't snore or smell or fart in the night 😅😆😆

@@jun_suzuki42 yup plus many of us have prob or still done the staying in shared rooms like at backpackers or OE ..some places now have men or women only rooms ..only worry I ever had was not for myself but ppl trying to steal stuff when ya sleeping lol

I want to visit more islands in the Inland Sea. I did Miyajima in 1995, and Awajishima in 1996. I also would love to do Okinawa and Island hop. I also did Sado Shima in 2019.

私は門司港から、大阪の南港まで❗12時間をかけて、帰って来た事が有りましたが、始めて、フェリーに乗るのも、凄く興奮して、サンフラワァーでしたので、この船ですよね。一等席で泊まりましたが、正員が行けずで、二人で帰って来たのに家族部屋の四人ベッドの部屋に入れられました。船の旅は楽しいですが、正員がイケズですよ。本間に…でも、大きいお風呂も有るんですよね。船の中に、レストランもあって、楽しい時間でしたが、エンジンの音が凄いので、寝るのは、相当、気合いを入れないとエンジンと海の海水を欠くと言うのか❗物凄い音がしますよ。一等席のへやでも❗あの音ですから、二等席や三等席は、雑魚寝ですからね。

2018년에 가족들과 저 회사의 배를 타고 오사카와 벳푸를 여행했습니다. 식사도 좋았고 배 안에 있는 목욕탕에서 바다를 바라보며 목욕을 할 수 있는게 정말 좋았습니다. 코로나 때문에 해외여행이 힘든데 다시 가서 배로 여행하는 재미를 느껴보고 싶습니다.

I am glad to see a video about the cheapest ‘room’ available on the ferry. Thank you for this. Having the curtain is an added extra that I have not seen before. Out of interest is it men only in one shared space and ladies in another? Ps. Nice to see travel in Japan from a lady’s perspective. 👩🏻

In my experience both on ferries and planes is you never truly see how big a country is until you are traveling in both methods, that's quite the impressive size ferry! Food looks great but even more so the views 😮

Despite the overall "luxury" of the ship, I could/would never pay to basically sleep on the floor, regardless of my age. Otherwise, it looks to be a fun trip.

This wouldn't be classified as a luxury ferry, based on the food served and facilities, it's middle-class and best for families or groups going away over the weekend.

You would get used to sleeping on a futon if you lived or travelled in Japan. I prefer a lockable room as a woman travelling alone. But I could survive one or two nights in the futon dormitory. I think it's mostly for groups of school children, especially athletes.

Its interesting to see how big this ferry is. Its like the size of a small shopping mall! The sleeping area is interesting. Hope you had a nice sleep! Was there like a hot sauna inside? I’d like to visit Beppu some day too. Thanks for the video! Always enjoyed it!

Amazing sunset to end your most enjoyable voyage! 🌅 A question though - what was that one dinner item that had the pink flower (my best guess to describe) in it? It looked really great. The only thing I'm weary of hearing is the 🎶Sunflower🎶 song! My goodness it must be torture to be trapped onboard with it playing over and over 😄

It IS a lotus root. The Sanfurawa song only plays during boarding and egress.

The dish itself is chirashi-zushi, the pink 'flower' was a lotus root.

私は､1年に2回ぐらい別府に行きます｡サンフラワーいいですね｡でも今は､名門大洋フェリーを使ってます。なぜかと言うと、つく時間が早くて…でも車の人には､いいですね｡私は､名門大洋フェリーで､新門司､小倉からJRで別府に行きます｡足が悪い私でも時間が､ちょうど良いです。それから熊本あたりに行くなら､歩きの人は､サンフラワー志布志いいですよ､鹿児島から新幹線熊本まですぐですよ。ただ志布志までの､バスけっこう長いですが、新幹線の熊本の方が近く感じます。
