Sheena Easton is interviewed on Wogan, a BBC talk show, 25 November 1985. She then performs the title track from her 1985 album, do it for love. Too bad it is a lip synch. But it seems that was the policy then at BBC, for the artiste to lip synch instead of performing it live.

Never saw an artist evolve so fast , as Sheena , Look at her in 1980 , then in 1981 , once she got the confidence, she just took off !!!!

Sheena was, and still is, so genuine. Probably the first artist the UK turned its back on after she found (well deserved) success in the US. Shame as the UK missed out on some great records!

If a demographic doesn't like your music, they don't like your music. It's as simple as that. There are tons of singers that aren't played and don't tour in the USA. ABBA did one tour here in the USA. Kylie Minogue has toured the USA once, and doesn't like the USA

As I have always thought, she changed her accent out of the blue... until here, 1985, she was totally Scottish... two years later she was totally Beverly Hills... hence, she built it up. You cannot switch accents in such a non gradual way.

Your statement about her accent is a bit naive. When a person moves from one country to another at a young age, their accent will change and become a blend that vasilates a bit depending on circumstances. She was young enough for this to happen. I speak from first hand experience. It's not fake or a put on or even an effort. In my current job, I work with many Scottish adults. And yes, their accent changes a lot in that first year. Then when they go back home for a visit, it comes back a bit for a few weeks when they return.
