That is such an impressive buggy, you have really gone all-in on this one! It looks as though you finally found a power system that is big enough to support a full beast mode Vivaton build and output the kind of power needed for air control. You had to make some compromises with the Castle system to try and keep amp draw down that was affecting jump performance. Perhaps the Castle system is plenty for blasting around on the ground mostly with a stock DBXL-E. No doubt this is a big-boy toy. Not sure if videos like these makes me want one more or if they keep my spending in-check by making me hold-off on an impulse buy. Goes without saying that 1/5 scale demands quite an investment!

I once had a trailer tire grenade. I felt the punch in my back from that like 50 get away and the flapping rubber blown off the casing literally ripped the corner OUT of the aluminum trailer. The whole taillight assy and mudflap on that corner was just GONE!

Vitavon needs to come out with rear motor mount support or shove a rubber piece under the motor for extra support.

I had to grind a little clearance for this motor to fit with the current mount so it close and can’t move much at all.

You cant go wrong with Detroit Performance wheels ,I run 2 max4's with 2 Tp 800kv motor 12s on each side coming together at 24s and let me tell ya them wheels hold up ,and I beat them to hell and back ,there an awesome product

Make sure you call proline and have 4 tires warrantied. Even the ones that aren’t blown with the bent wheels

@@ExocagedRC they have always replaced mine. Give them a call, the worst they could say is no. They are always super nice. Just remember it’s California time. I would stick to the point that they are meant for a 1/5 scale which is what you had them on, and you were running a lower kv motor, not geared up crazy, and beyond the tires blowing the wheels were starting to give. They never ask for the old ones back, but they may just so they can have that for product development

I notice on the tyre that it tore at the belted reinforced join line, from what I could see the 2nd one popped at the same spot. Seems like a weak spot on these tyres if that's the case. Maybe a couple of layers of fibre tape would hold them together for longer?

I am a Hobbywing fan because of how rock solid reliable they are. From all the accounts this thing is overpriced, overly heavy and despite the fact that it is a new size category 4th scale opposed to 5th scale which the XLX2 is, it still doesn't compete power wise with it. I personally don't know why Hobbywing made this.

Think of it like the old saying “no replacement for displacement” the XLX2 is a VERY strong esc and the 800kvs are proven but this puts the power down easier and can handle heavier loads better. This Max4 system is so large that it can only be used in giant scale vehicles. I figure the DBXLE is the smallest vehicle that this system is intended for. Granted we will be seeing these in Xmaxxes soon I’d guess.

My Outkast 8s on a really large spectrum motor like the 780 like barely fits in there like it touches right at the steering arms basically but it's with a 25 tooth or something or whatever it was a camera just as big as I can get for the outcasts I was able to do like three backflips off the line on punch 9 with a stock spectrum and it did 85mph something is definitely lacking that thing should be throwing it around like a rag doll I can't even go a 1/4 throttle off the line or I'm it's back

Yeah should work fine. Stock motor has 6.5mm bullets and the max4 uses 8mm bullets so you’ll have to do some work.
