Great video! We are book-heavy over here too and I’m figuring out how to incorporate all of our great books into our days. Planning is (more than) half the fun 🤩

I think it will be a great year! I'm really looking forward to getting into all of the books that are ranked 3-4 for the Guest Hollow Program to see what we actually want to keep and what we may cut. There are a lot of really great books though! British lit may have to be cut back a bit as well...but at least I have everything in hand now and can start making those plans!

This looks so great for her! Since its so book heavy, as you mentioned, and you have two years, you could possibly spread this over two years. Its great to have options and time to consider. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as you and Emma dive into these resources! 😊

Thank you! Yes, she is very excited about it. We will see how the year turns out. I'm never afraid to drop books if we just aren't jiving with them, and this is a very full year! Most of her British Lit books are marked as AP books, so she will have to figure out if she wants to study for the AP test. It is nice to have a little extra time, but I have a feeling once we get to the end of this year, she is going to want to be done and move to something new. What that is, we have no clue at the moment!

Wow! All those courses come with multiple credit options! Looks great, but yes, a lot of books!

We are a book heavy family - some are resource books (especially from the govt/econ/personal finance course) some I will read aloud because I enjoy them, and some will be audiobooks. But, if you end up watching all of my curriculum choice videos this week you will see who my book kid is, and how we pare it way back with my other kiddos 😊

I just bought the Life of Fred grammar series... have you guys ever used those? My 11th grader wants something different for grammar this coming year, so I thought that would be fun for him.

I have never used that series, but I have seen a lot of people use and love it. I really enjoy their math resources, and would imagine it is very similar in style to that. We have been really happy with Sonlight, so besides adding some Brave Writer book guides, we have mainly stuck with the Sonlight literature resources over the years.

I'm looking forward to hearing how British Literature goes for you this year! My 11th grader will be doing American Lit 430 :)

Pretty sure Jack will be going this route, but Emma really wanted the British lit this year. 400 is one of the levels we have not done. Are you also using the govt/econ part of 400 or just the literature?
