How is mining cobalt and lithium and burning coal to generate electricity to charge a battery environmentally friendly?

Correct, it isn't. It's extremely environmentally unfriendly. Going with all electric cars is a total joke. People that back them. Don't know their ass from their elbow. But like everything. It's all about the money. Of coarse not for the working class. But for big corporations and politicians.

Yes, it *is* environmentally unfriendly. Buu u u t ... it's *still* better than mining coal or oil. (Sorry, that's just a fact). -Personally tho' I'm a big proponent of nuclear power. (You will have to *actually* look into it to get past the inherent anti-bias). Wich I also used to have. -In fact I lived in Scandinavia when Chernobyl happened ! So, I was right in the middle of the greatest nuclear-power scare *ever* . -But, anyway, it's just smart thinking to *diversify* !

Or a gentle breeze. 4) 360 degrees fahrenheit is 182 degrees C.

It looked interesting to me, too, so I checked more websites, and they said it generates 1500 kWh a year with the wind of 5m/s. If that's true, and it does seem realistic to me, and I've made a couple of wind turbines in the past, that's nowhere near the 50% of electricity needs of average Dutch, or any other family in the developed world. If we divide 1500 kWh by 365 days, it amounts to 4.1 kWh/day. I just checked, and 1 kWh of electricity in Netherlands for households costs 0.323€, so this marvel saves you 1.292€ per day, or 471.58 € a year. So, if it costs 4000€, not including the costs of installation and maintenance, it will take 8.5 years to get your investment back, if you are content with using it just to power your TV and computer, and charge your phones and other small devices. Of course any appliances like boilers, ovens and such are out of the question, or you could power your boiler for 2 hours and that's it. This is why the green revolution and climate agendas and their goals are totally unrealistic and are created only to move money from poor to rich...

Thing is, you could just 3D print the thing yourself, or build it out of scrap wire and some tarp (it has 8 or so petals of a perticular shape, screwed on a axle. It isn't large, about one cubic meter, nor is it heavy. Uses the same wind surface as a classic wind turbine about 4times the size. Compact and DIY. Do it out of scrap and old car parts and whatever it generates, is a bonus

I wouldn't say amazing, I would say interesting, amazing went many decades ago, now we just see slight upgrades to exisitng devices. I mean to say we have mobile phones that have innbuilt clocks with alarms and timers as well as stopwatches and yet we still have companies making watches that cost up to $300,000 that are the same size as a mobile device. Do you know where over 90% of gadgets end up lol, in a drawer or storage space in our homes, we use them for a few times and end up leaving them as we either need to charge them or we already have a device that does similar. I have a workshop full of gadgets that I thought would be very useful, all they do now is use up space.

Darn it, I accidentally hit the send button. Sorry about that. Anyway When I built my garage. I wanted to install solar panels and a wind turbine. I picked out a location for the turbine and layed down a cement pad. I was planning on a nice size one. So I did some more research on which turbine's hold up the best and which ones produce the most energy. During this research I stumbled across some installation articles and videos. And I couldn't believe what I was reading. Depending on the gage of the cable or wire you use from the turbine to your charge controller. The amount of energy lost is dramatic. With my distance between the two, almost 40 feet. And using the heaviest gage cable. I would still lose a little over 60 percent of the energy the turbine produced. Why the heck would I want to waste my money and time on that. So needless to say, I didn't install the wind turbine. And just added more solar panels. And I couldn't be more happier. My solar system paid for itself within the first year. Anyway I just thought I'd share that.

You need to covert the Current Types and step up the voltage so less is lost for that distance of transmission. Then reverse on receiving end. This is the problem Edison had with power inside cities back in the 1800's, Each Current option excels in some areas and fails when compared to others. The bigger question with that wind power (with solar we're robbing the spot under the panels for sunlight, and the thermal effects from that ground being heated ....) is what happens to the climate when we reduce the energy(force) of the wind with all these wind farms? Example, Wind blows across the Sarah desert and carries minerals to the Rain Forrest in the Amazon, now what happens if we deplete that wind by slowing its ability to carry minerals and/or remove its speed , for its affect on the environment? Not being smart ass, general serious curious thought... That air moving serves a purposes and many things exist because of it and get moved by it. Pollen being the most common. Now we start reducing it and start doing so on grander scales, by having it transfer the energy on to ever growing in size turbine fan blades, now with slower speeds and/or less force, what becomes of those minerals and their original destination?
