The cars from 50s and 60s were real treasures compared to todays vehicles. I had a 1968 Mercury Cougar in High School. Right before Junior year I had duel exhausts put on and bought Mag Wheels from doing extra summer work on the farm.

Average price of a new car in 2024 is around $45,000. Choice of interior colors? Usually none. You get black - like it or not. I drove 100 miles to get a car with a tan (mostly) interior. Carpet and other interior trim is still black. Blah.
