tips they left out: you can grapple the flag, fusion cores, and power seeds and will equip them. you can even grapple a thrown fusion core and throw it right back. the repulsor can push these same objects, and can be used to sweep the entire pile of power seeds towards your base. the repulsor can also be used to double jump up to hard to reach places. once you use invisibility or overshield, you can pick up a new equipment to combo the effects. invisible grapple with energy sword is a great combo, and makes you lethal at all ranges. you can drift the warthogs to make sharp turns. this is really good at avoiding homing attacks from the hydra or wasp, or for losing a pursuing chopper or rival hog. the sonar dart can be stuck to vehicles, even friendly ones. stick your ally ghost to get a good scan of the battlefield. when flying the wasp and in battle with one, use a lock on weapon and fire along the path of where they are going, and slightly below. the rockets will almost always hit at long range, and at closer range you can use the same trick to devastating effect. the rocket hog is an anti-vehicle hog and can lock on. the gungoose is a surprisingly effective capture point denial tool. the Commando is fully automatic, but has better accuracy when used like a rifle. you sidearm is good. don't dismiss it because it didn't come from a weapon rack. you can and should bail out of a dangerzone vehicle.

The invisibility works so well! I’ve been duped quite a few times with it. The shimmer is much less obvious than in previous titles. The key is to maintain a slow pace and you’ll be pretty hard to spot.

I’ve never been much of a Halo guy. Haven’t played at all since 4 and was just casual then. Infinite has hooked me hard! I bought CoD and BF2042 and all I’ve played is Halo since it dropped!

One thing, I have come to realize is, that there is a distinct difference from any normal fps to halo: Every single weapon is part of a greater sandbox. On their own, they may be pretty effective, but, unless you are holding a power weapon, make sure you are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of BOTH of your currently equipped weapons. Take your usual starter kit for instance, AR and Sidekick. In a normal shooter, you'd expect the AR to be your primary weapon, while the Sidekick just seems to be your backup, in case you deplete the AR mag in the middle of a fight. Not quite the case with this game. Instead, you are working with a solid DPS, mid to close ranged full auto weapon in one hand and a true mid range semi auto weapon with the ability to one-tap unshielded enemies in the other. So your basic kit is already a good combination of dealing damage when headshots don't matter (shields prevent headshot damage) and dealing damage when headshots do matter. This double weapon dynamic applies to the entire rest of the sandbox too, you just need to which of your weapons does what better than the other and apply that information to any given situation.

The amount of ways to play and game modes is amazing. So happy to see a true arena shooter back in the spotlight for the right reasons!!! Halo back in business

A tip for frag grenades: Frags won't detonate until about a second after they touch a surface When you're in "face-off'' range with an enemy bounce your grenade a few feet in front of them to get a more precise impact

Slight correction: Razorback can have up to 5 total seeds. 3 via passengers, 2 on the bumper. I did this in one match and did a full round almost instantly!

As an Onyx player, I highly recommend training your Battle Rifle in bot matches. The BR is the best weapon in the game and is extremely useful as you start with the BR in Ranked mode. Use academy mode and set the bots to Spartan difficulty. Then turn on God mode so you can’t die. Practice killing each bot in 4 BR shots for the “perfect” medal. Make sure to practice your strafe and make it unpredictable.

I am in love with Halo Infinite. I never gave Guardians a chance and I am on the fence about Halo 4, but Infinite was just what I needed!

I'm glad to see more objective based games showing popularity. I miss playing four teams of four vs each other for flags and zones in halo 2. The equipment throws in an amazing Halo 3 vibe. Game modes like these help players learn how to work as a team even if it's a social game

They did a good job this time around in my opinion games feel balanced and the only time I feel at a disadvantage it's just because I'm being out played, the equipment is a great addition for engaging with different tactics. As of now my favorite it the grappling hook, nothing more satisfying then a Spartan zip lining like Batman around a map.

#1 tip I can say is, if your not sure what to do in a match, find a teammate and stick with em. Sounds obvious but so many people try to lone wolf. If your teammates have a power weapon, stick with them, pick it up when they die. #2 out maneuver your targets. Especially in 4v4. Outthink and outsmart opponents, by flanking, sneaking, find some jump spots, be crafty, get behind them. Again obvious but so many just blindly run around. #3 master the sidekick in 4v4, always keep it as your second incase you fumble with the primary, or better yet, make it your Primary. Headshots are king. #4 learn to use frags. Learn to bounce them off walls, predict there trajectory, throw one before entering a room, throw them close by if your being chased, cover/block your escape.

Wow the pulse scan is a very great tip thanks. For the most part I've learned where everything is at but still very useful since some weapons spawns switch from game to game. Been a few times where I ran towards a weapon only to find a different gun there, so identifying the weapon ahead of time can help me not waste time trying to pick up a gun I just don't want

I've played every Halo and I'm pretty sure that the "radar" has always been a motion sensor. This is still handy for a new player to know

Fun fact: The grapple performs very similarly to the Titanfall 2 grapple, with the exception that HI's grapple has shorter range. This means that you can use techniques such as the slingshot to maximize movement with the grapple. See any grapple tutorial for Titanfall 2 to see how to do them.

something crucial that i learned in my time of play (that should be relatively obvious, but ESSENTIAL to understand) try your best to reload before empty, or vent before overheat (ESPECIALLY VENTING) it DRASTICALLY reduces the time spent rearming your weapon, and it could mean your own survival. i learned this while trying to complete all the weapon drills, as some of the harder ones basically require you to not empty reload, or overheat, as best as possible. i know. its very obvious that ppl already subconsciously do this, but its extra important in a game like halo, with its ttk being how it is.

I just wanted to play a few rounds and try it out but it's so good that I ended up making a video of it, it's just so much fun

Completely agreed about the weapon drills. I just did them today, and got a much better understanding of the new weapons (and some small changes to the returning classics).

Controller players turn off vibration and set your sensitivity to 7.5 for both and 4 for look acceleration it really helps your aim

I have about 40 hours into Halo Infinite already, and yet there are a few tips and tricks in here that I think will be REALLY useful. One more I think you should cover in the next one: The Repulsor Equipment can be used to jump or launch yourself quite far!

It is a bit funny when people say don't mute, but nobody really needs to talk now with the ping system and all the ones I met with mic open either is not speaking English or have really, really bad mic that is just intolerable.

Some more tips that can take effect immediately: • High sensitivity does not equal good, speed does not equal precision, even if you're good. Do what works best for you, but if you think you need a high sensitivity to be better you're a tad mistaken. I recommend playing on 3.5 and setting your vertical to 1.4 and your horizontal to 1.3 • We all love high FOV, but it makes it much harder to aim, go into training mode, focus on an object, now go into your settings and go from maximum FOV to the minimum...there's a major difference. The best FOV I find personally to increase my peripheral and still maintain better aiming is 90-95, but again adjust it to your own gameplay. 120 FOV will make it harder to hit any target even if it feels the best to play on

Fun tip: You can also ride on top of vehicles with a turret, giving warthogs up to 4 turrets each. Ghost can only really fit 1 rider plus the driver, giving a total of two turrets.

Halo MP is more of a sports game than an FPS (in a good way). If you're not constantly moving, jumping, using melee attacks, playing as a team you're going to have a bad time.

Its crazy, how is every enemy i see on peoples videos even some streams just completely obvious and look like a 343 bot. Literally almost every player i run into are sweating their hearts out and its crazy

You can mute individual players by pressing escape, then hit tab, then navigate to the player that's annoying and mute them there. Not obvious at all to get to that point considering there's no indicator of this feature existing
