Most people are just saying to start with what they think is best or what they started with first. My personal favourite is New Vegas however there is no right or wrong game to start with. Fallout 1 is an old game from 1997 with top down turn based style. If you like CRPGS like Balders Gate 3 then you will like this. Fallout 2 is similar to Fallout 1 in terms of gameplay and released a year later. Though i would say play the first before it, there is nothing stopping you from playing this first. Fallout 3 is the first Bethesda Fallout and when the games went first person. It's gameplay isn't as smooth as other FPS games. It's a fun game to explore. Side quests are the most interesting part of the game. DLCs are worth it. It's a good start if you can look past to the clunky FPS gameplay. Fallout: New Vegas is similar to Fallout 3 in terms of gameplay so the same applies. What New Vegas does best is story and you will have a great time with characters in this. The DLCs are fun too. Fallout 4 is a good start too because the gameplay is vastly improved for FPS style. Though some of the role playing elements have been toned down. It's still fun. If you like exploring and building settlements then this will be great for you. The DLCs are again fun to play. Fallout 76 is an online game so only get it if you like playing online. Fallout Shelter is more about managing your vault. You can play it on your phone. Download and try it if you want. There is an online version of Shelter too. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel don't need to be mentioned as they spin-offs most people aren't aware of. If someone want to play them, then it's their choice. I would say Fallout 4 is easiest to start with. It's not my personal favourite but it's very easy for newcomers. The controls are very easy to use. As you can play the other games after. Your favourite is your favourite so don't let others decide what you can like most.

Again and again, Bungie amazes me with how awesome they are. I cannot wait to play this.

Hold on they did cut a few things like broken limbs for arms, that cut quest, better xray but still not much cut content than DL2

Got the switch version on sale 6 months ago. Really looking forward to this on the PS5. The original is great but leaves a lot to be desired in the performance department. This looks promising. Feels like I can still enjoy the original till this drops with all the extra content which seems significant. Also feels like they’re finally getting all the content they’ve wanted to actually put in from the beginning. Even if the plots have changed since original development

Knowing that it's not truly an "open world" makes this a hard pass. The cartoonish graphics are also a major let down. This is a far stretch from the original trailer.

If only wars between countries ended already. Why ppl resort to violence just to rob resources or land for whatever reason, like move on man and focus on ur own ppl instead of having more military power

I absolutely loved that the 10mm Maximus carries as a Squire is the original 10mm pistol from Fallout 1 & 2, where it was also known as the Colt 6520.

This game is a 10/10

The deagle is in fallout 1 and 2. In fact there were a lot of "modern" firearms in the fallout series. The pancor, several h&k weapons, and the plasma pistol in game was called the "glock 86". I dont know why Bethesda is insistent on designing all of these silly looking futuristic/retro weapons. Well actually i do know why.

honestly just play new vegas, and if you liked shooting and exploration go to 4 and if you liked the story and world go to 2. and if you want more 4 go to 76 and if you want more 2 go to 1. easy.
