Awesome Raf, I'm looking st screens so this was perfect timing and helped alot😘 One thing I noticed in the video was a glare off the top of the center channel speaker which I didn't notice on your old screen. Maybe throw some black velvet or something on top of it or not if its not noticeable to you from your seats. On a side note, that blemish won't matter during movies since that's were the black bars would be😘

I'm using a 135-inch screen, projector mounted at the back of the room, near the ceiling, about 16.5 feet, lens to screen. It's our living room/home theater theater/bedroom, as we have a queen sized bed at the back, where we watch from mostly, or sit in the theater seating at the foot of the bed. So my question is this, do you think the CineGrey 3d will work in my room? I have burgandy blackout curtains, but I don't want to sit in a dungeon all the time, lol 😅 P.S. - my projector is a new Panasonic pt-rz370 laser/led hybrid, 3500 lumens.

Hi! Way cool video! I like your whole setup, but if it were me I'd at least have a few favorite posters to throw in! I was wondering if you could answer my questions just because I'm super curious. Maybe even do a video on it if you feel like it. I'm wondering how good these would look on the screen! Basically lets take a few of my favorite things for example, like anime that have particular color palettes for one thing. Here's the list Black Bullet (My favorite anime) Gundam 00 (Favorite Gundam series) A Silent Voice (Great film with great art) In live action we have Kamen Rider Kabuto. Black Bullet and Kamen Rider Kabuto are tied for my greatest series of all time!

Great vid, I was wondering if it's really any better than the cinewhite screen if you're watching it at night? Also, I saw a Stewart ALR screen in Best Buy which was $2000 bucks(Which looked like it was worth 100 bucks at the most) for the 92 inch version btw! And it looked like crap even compared to the Sony mid ranged led in the other demo room , bright in the very center of the screen and very dim everywhere else, I tried standing and kneeling at every angle, even put my face 6 inches away from the screen, it didn't make the pic look any better, Should I just go with an OG Cinewhite, I don't want any hot spotting or a dimmer image at night? I don't know if I can trust a screen that cost's a third of That Stewart Screen?
@TheRafcave
@TheRafcave 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Can, watching The Old Guard the other night looked great. My HDR was definitely brighter. Only a small hot spot during a desert scene with the sun, I can look over that by the much brighter overall picture at night In a black basement. My Sony is 1500 lumens. So a much brighter projector my have issues In a black room. 🤷🏽‍♂️
@peterbunderla
@peterbunderla 4 жыл бұрын
You typed in the video "no hot spots". There is really no hot spots? Because in some parts of the video (for example at 17:32) it looks clearly to me that the center of the picture is brighter than the left and right part. I bought CineGrey 3D and 5D samples one year ago. At first I was blown away. I put the samples on the center of the picture and the picture on them was great. But after I put them more to the left or to the right I was dissapointed. The picture on the samples was then a lot more darker. If there would not be such a big hot spots in this samples I would buy the screen but this hot spots are deal breaker to me.
@TheRafcave

Only my camera Is blooming the scene, no hotspots In real life. It depends on the angle and position of the projector that can introduce hot spots.

@@TheRafcave which angle and position of the procejtor does not get hot spots? I up on the wall 3D and 5D samples right now again and I still get a lot brighter image when samples are in the center of the picture than when they are on the side.

Did you keep the ALR screen or switched back to the old one? Did you notice any so called sparkle effect? I know if it`s over 1 gain you can get a strange sparkle effect.
