Yes! it's a surprisingly great game with so much charm and some really good dual gameplay and fun puzzles. I think it went overlooked because of people being salty about Bayonetta 3, be it because of the ending or just the overall story, and skipped on Origins, or at least, that's what I think it didn't got nearly as much people talking about it as it could. But yeah, damn great game.

I was so hooked, I played through it twice. If they ever make a sequel, all I would add is a bit more platforming elements and maybe some timed atacks/blocks in combat. Such an overlooked gem though.

@@D3sdinova I agree. I would be thrilled if they would release X9 or even start doing remakes. I think they haven't because X7 and X8 when they went 2.5/3D those games kinda of flopped. So they probably don't know what route to go. I want it in the style that X1-6 was. Or the style of Metroid dread. That would be amazing. I think they can't decide so they just make the fans play old titles while they keep releasing collections.

@@nine_tails137 Yeah true I don’t know why there’s an obsession with the Medieval setting and I also don’t understand why they all have to have a Harem when there’s literally a genre for that they’ll never be 100 girlfriends which peak harem Anime IMO with it’s hilarity it’s so funny XD but also kinda wholesome. but anyway yeah back on topic my biggest problem with the genre aren’t those two necessarily as I can take it or leave them but it’s the whole trope of OP MC and where’s he’s just liked by everyone by all over and only he can defeat the great evil that’s in the land but he has no struggle he’s just yeah I can just one shot them no problem like it’s not a very interesting concept hell even SuperMan who everyone says is boring and all that at least he has a handicap so he can’t just win all the time that’s what you do with OP characters give them a limit because otherwise there’s really no reason to be into it as they’ll just win any situation so it just makes the Isekai genre not very interesting as the Isekai genre is actually in general the most versatile genre as you can really get creative with it and the concept of transported to another world is just a fun thing to play with but they just stick to the same thing over and over. I know Anime is in actuality and technically for a Japanese audience, I do understand that part I mean Anime is the most Japanese thing out there but I mean even the Japanese fans that like Isekai Anime have to be also be getting tired of the Medieval setting and OP MC at least, I do agree with the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but it’s ok to add a few changes here and there especially if it’s been the same thing for a long time.

@@Skye2993 Honestly, I WANT to like 100 Girlfriends, I really do, but after the constant disappointments I've been getting, with new anime not finishing their series, I've become way more cynical towards new anime. Like... every new anime has only been getting 1 season with 12-13 episodes and I sick of it! So naturally I don't expect much from new anime. It's like: "If you had no plans on finishing your damn show, why adapt it in the first place?" As for Isekai anime, I don't like the fact they make the MCs unrealistically perfect to the point that they become a Gary Stu. Seriously! Every time an Isekai protagonist won a fight, my reaction was the same as that one scene from Medabots: "That was it?! Somehow I expected more. A little anticlimactic don't ya think?!" Plus when every girl in the show are written as a sex object rather than a real person, I can't relate to that! Take Yumina from Smartphone Isekai for example. Touya heals her father, finds out who the culprit is Ace Attorney style, and Yumina's response basically boils down to: "I'm going to drop my entire life and marry the main character." No women would willingly do that! And don't get me started on the slavery trope! As for the Medieval setting, I would much prefer a setting with hover cars, teleportation, or even virtual reality. Sort of like what Futurama and Meet the Robinsons did. In other words: a lot of these Isekai could be fixed, if they had more creative freedom. Even Digimon did this right! Everything looked like the real world, but nothing is as it seems. Stuff like a hologram tree, a telephone booth on the beach, a giant cactus that doesn't cast a shadow, an ocean liner in the desert, the list goes on. THAT is a creative world versus medieval setting for the umpteenth time!

As for the Isekai thing yeah I pretty much agree with everything you said, the only times I give the characters just being eye candy a pass and this goes for both female characters and male characters is if the Anime is a ecchi comedy or fanservice Anime for example a male harem or a female harem or those strictly comedy Anime’s where it’s not serious like Konasuba, where the point is to be silly and dumb but for a Anime that’s trying to tell a story you really want me to take a character finding out their father’s killer and then their like yeah just forget all that, I guess they didn’t love their father or something but the Anime sure made it seem like they did and it treated it as this serious moment, see I think the issue is some of these shows are not meant to be seriously taken but they try to make it seem like it’s some grandiose plot driven thing when really they just wanted to make a comedy they should at least be honest with it instead of trying to pass it off like some story line driven thing and now moving on to the OP protagonist it’s just not fun to watch because basically there is no show he can just one shot everything with no struggle or effort. I know Anime is factually and more so for a Japanese audience so their always going to do what caters and what their homeland likes I get that and I completely understand but at the same time we’ve seen Japanese writers and developers do other creative works because as for the futuristic thing they could definitely do the flying cars I mean Dragon Ball is something that comes close to that as the technology in that show was very future like so it definitely can be done and I do know that saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but I do think for a genre that’s versatile it sure is stagnate and that’s crazy because out of all the genres in Anime, you can get the most creative with Isekai because of the endless possibilities there really is it doesn’t have to restrict itself like the other genres because it’s so vast and versatile but somehow they took other genres and jammed it into Isekai like why is there always an OP MC we can go watch One Punch Man for that in the Shonen genre, why is there always a harem we can go watch 100 girlfriends or any other if we want that in the Harem genre, why is it always medieval don’t other places exist besides that and I’m not saying these things can’t be in Isekai because it’s how the author wants to Do his or her story but good grief why is it in every single one like these writers are just copying one another beat by beat.

@@Skye2993 Here's the thing though, many people have said a new anime does really well, but the series STILL winds up being cancelled! Look at Keijo!!! for example. Yeah it's a really stupid series, but it ends on a cliffhanger, and the creator was forced to cancel his manga, due to collapsing from overwork! And if I were to make an estimate, 100 Girlfriends would need at least 12 seasons, provided they show 1 girl per episode? If not, then more than 12 seasons. Also, don't forget they would need 100 female voice actors for each girl(unless they have 1 person voice more than 1 character?) Then there's the matter of source material. The anime has only shown us 6 girls, while the manga has shown us over 20+ girls(as of this reply) Basically, the anime has barely scratched the surface of the manga. And Yes, it is a waste adapting niche shows that only 3 people will watch. There are even some niche shows where I bought the DVDs to show my support, only for Japan to say: "Whoops sorry, that's the end. If you want more, go read the manga or watch something else." It's basically gone from "Let's adapt good shows" to "Let's adapt everything!" And to that I say: STOP WASTING MY TIME!!! Give us more objectively good shows, and not another copy and paste Isekai for the umpteenth time! Speaking on ecchi: One Isekai that is objectively terrible is Slave Harem. Seriously! the MC's eye expression never changes from the default bored expression, and we don't see the harem until the last 2 minutes of the final episode! WTH?! That is the definition of "wasting my time!" And again, the slave trope being overused to the point where it's borderline offensive! As in, the MC buys the girls as his slaves, but treats them with kindness to justify his innocence, and he's supposed to be a nice person? Fuck No! That's not kindness! It's treating a human as your friggin pet! Those types of shows can GTFO! As for OP main characters, the problem as I said before, is they're unrealistically perfect, rather than flawed. Take Touya from Smartphone Isekai for example: in one episode a castle is surrounded by undead warriors, and Touya casts shining javelin to wipe out the entire army in one shot! In other words: one minute the characters are crapping their pants over an entire army invading, then in the next minute: "Well, that was easy!" Friggin Batman doesn't win fights that easily! And yeah DragonBall is a perfect example of an anime with hover cars done well! And that's not even an Isekai! It's a shonen! Also, there's one early 2000s anime that ran for 7 seasons and 167 episodes, which is technically an Isekai. Ya know which one? Inu-Yasha! And the MC is female! Plus she's not over powered, nor is she a self insert! She has a personality, character development and character focus episodes! Plus the world she travels to is the feudal era of Japan! NOT a medieval fantasy! And it was great!!!
