So far I do, just need to get the users used to it (and teach them how to forward calls etc) :p

@@sarhtaq Ya it does take a bit with anything new, but most get used to it in a week or so. Doing a warm/cold transfer screws up people sometimes.

where is the software for freepbx located? Also can either of these support two incoming lines?

Thank you very much! Is there a free chat or messages option for freePBX ? Calls working great with linphone but the chatting through the app doesn't move to the second phone.. (when I send text message I get call ting in the second phone but cannot see the actual message, I suspect that freePBX don't know how to handle chat)

When I registering Zoiper with my FreePBX, Snom phone get unregistered and all calls come to softphone. How do I make for the calls to come both to softphone and snom phone

Thanks Chris. I bought a couple licenses from your website. I easily went through all the steps without any problems but was not able to get Clearly Anywhere to work. I then contacted their support and they told me in addition to port 2267, I also need UDP Port 5060 (PJSIP) and UDP 10000 to 20000 open. Is that only if you're using a hardware firewall instead of the FreePBX firewall?

Hi Jeff - that's correct. Any ports that you want to work with a FreePBX system located behind a corporate firewall will have to be forwarded through to the FreePBX. The risk of doing these port forwards is minimal assuming your FreePBX firewall is also enabled and configured properly.

Has anyone managed to get the presence status bar to work with Zoiper? to me it works only available and the BLF

Do you find Clearly Anywhere to be actually reliable with ringing every time a call comes in? I was messing around with some soft phones, and was finding that they have limitations with iOS’ background refresh. Also does it support CallKit?

Mine worked so well I had to disable it. Too many calls coming through.

We had this same issue with my company and unfortunately had to switch to Android devices since iPhone decides what notifications to push and which ones not to. :(

softphones + usb headset - should be the standard. I don't know why people insist on spending tons of capital on desk phones and POE switches.

Desk phone's preform better and they have other advantages

@@backupaddict1356 Desk phones are only suitable for people who communicate little and do not work on a PC. Or if the desk phone is integrated with CRM. In other cases, the softphone is more convenient because you can copy the number to softphone instead of dialing it manually.

@@PavloBilan well I would disagree as everything can be ingrated with anything on the desktop phone, at least with 3cx which is what I do all day. in most cases you don't need to even copy it, just click on the number and it will dial the phone, soft/hard phone.

@@backupaddict1356 And what is deskphone advantage here? Softphone connect on the same principle as hardware phone. Probably 3cx will work the same way with softphone, and you don't need to hold handset in the hand. Deskphone only takes up space on the table and ports in the switch.

@@PavloBilan soft does work the same. most customers just don't want to use a soft phone. I guess really depends on the PBX you are using and what it can do. I'd rather have a hard phone with a headset.

These clearlyip folks are really amazing at monetizing every aspect of the FreePBX infrastructure developed by Sangoma, while doing nothing at all to improve the underlying free FreePBX base. Really sad.
