*** NOTE 1: I appreciate the enormous support and "bad words" don't bother me at all, but for those very few trolls who are suggesting ANY sort of violence to ANYONE in this video, you disgust me and it is NOT appreciated. Voluntarism has NOTHING to do with the initiation of force. -caleb
This video was recorded on Sunday, May 26, 2013. It is completely unedited. I (Caleb Leverett) uploaded the video to KZfaq the very same day, but kept it set to private until June 6, 2013.
I am Parker's dad, father, biological father, Daddy and guy who cut his umbilical cord. This video was recorded, posted and released with the permission and request of my son, Parker. We only decided to release it after the step-dad in this video (Jason May) admitted to repeatedly trespassing on my land, when confronted by Parker and myself. Neither of us appreciated the harassment.
I am a subscriber to the non-aggression principle (NAP) which basically says that the initiation of force is always immoral. I raise all four of my children in a non-violent manner, i.e., I never spank my kids... EVER. All four of my kids are very familiar with the NAP are extremely well behaved; anyone who knows them personally will testify that this is true.
Until today (Saturday, June 8, 2013) there was no description to the video. I am adding it to help others understand the broader picture. Parker has lived with me full time since the day this was filmed. I picked up my other three kids from their mom and step-dad's house yesterday for my first week of summer vacation with them. The pick up was text book perfect and without incident, of which I am thankful.
I bought Parker his very own iPhone 5 and gave the number to his mom. He is free to call or text her (or anyone in her family) any time he wishes (something I was never granted). He is also free to visit her or her family or friends any time he wishes.
On this day, he is with his cousins in Gardendale, TX playing and working on the family farm. He is excited to have a job this summer. My son and I are very close and are very open. We have a full summer planned and I am excited.
I thank many of you for your kind, encouraging words. I even thank the critics, for your words are teaching Parker and I to hone our skills, and yes, Parker and I read every single word. Have a peaceful day and remember, you own yourself. No one else owns you.

WOW. Incredible father. I wish everyday that a parent of mine would have saved me from my mom’s emotional as well my brothers emotional abuse and at a couple times physical abuse. No one ever came to save me until my husband came along. He told me I shouldn’t be treated that way and that is not love. I chose him and got wrath from my family when they asked why? I said I just want a sorry. They told me I would never get a sorry and no one would ever reach out. Three weeks later I married my husband and no one came to our wedding. After our honeymoon I would cry and cry in the shower and he would pick me up and tell me there is nothing to cry about because I have no lost , since that was never love. They never said sorry. I was less than human to them. That was 4 years ago and the anger issues/rage and panick attacks I had to get over were long lasting. I still have anger management issues and it’s for gaslighting that you see in this video. A complete lack of acknowledgment into this boys feelings, the shaming she did for him just to express his emotions. My brothers and mom would do this to me, humiliate me for getting upset after their emotional abuse. This kid is beyond lucky to have left this. I still have violent outbursts as a result of the rage that is created through such abuse over 30 years. I can’t remember any good moments with my family and some times I wonder if I ever even loved them they are like a distant nightmare.

I’m sorry to hear that. Not to sound cliche, but you’re not alone. My advice would be to accept what was done to you is not your fault and embrace the gift of being the honored person who gets to break that cycle in your own family. Let the unfair lessons make you the strong person to raise your own children so that they never know, first hand, the pain that you went through. Best wishes to you and your family.

Hi Parker. I only just heard your story and I want to send you love and strength and prayers from Australia. My mother is just like your mother; my sisters and my father and I were all victims of her abuse. My Dad tried to get custody of us to protect us from our mother, but a barrister told him he’d have no chance as a man. I believe that abuse by mums is under-recognised and not taken seriously enough in law and culture. I had to go through police and courts to become an emancipated minor. I ended up homeless for a while but it was totally worth it! I am absolutely blown away by the strength and dignity you displayed in standing up for yourself (and all your siblings!) on this day. I was the eldest child too and it was terrifying to stand up to my mother at about the same age you did, but despite what she said, I wasn’t leaving my siblings behind I was forging a path to safety for all of us. I now work in child protection. I’m sending you so much love for you and all your TRUE family. I think you’ll be a fantastic husband and father. You are breaking a generational curse, you are truly an inspiration mate! And Caleb, mate, you seem an outstanding father. Thank you for the calm and caring support you showed your son. It’s clear in this video that your love and respect for your son is what gave him the strength to stand up to his mum. Praying for youse. (That’s Australian for y’all). ❤❤❤

Absolutely, buddy. Your stedad, a complete stranger. Who is anyone to tell you that you can't stay with your own family. That pisses me off. No stepparent, who is NOT even your parent has any business telling you whether or not you can see or live with your own family? No one needs a stranger's approval to see their own blood. Your dad made you, not your step. There is no law that says you are required to listen to your stepparent. This is America and it's a free country and if you choose to listen to your own dad instead of your stepdad, then it'd your God-given right.

@SuperTCGamer
@SuperTCGamer 3 жыл бұрын
The kid is smarter than his parents, and the entire crap teens don't like their parents etc. is biologically normal. In the west we literally just started parenting teenagers when they use to be independent for thousands of years since caveman times. I mean we basically have disrupted our own evolution on how it wants us to grow up. By the pre-teens a part in the brain where we see our parents as omniscient and rely on them for everything is gone. Probably something to do with puberty starting but it happens. In all mammalian species the adolescent stays for a while, so either the adolescent noves on away from the parents or the parent is staying away from their offspring to enforce independence on their offspring. And here's another thing after one is done with puberty which varies from mid to late teens on average, they are biologically adults. This is before 18 at 18 or after, heck it can be in the early twenties. The adult brain is another story. The current theory about adolescents and young adults and why they take risks is because it's an evolutionary design to find and attract mates. Imagine this, caveman times, Mr. 18yo male over there has been kicked out of his tribe or pack to prevent inbreeding, his brain is 50% complete in the pfc, he's still impulsive, he's faceing a challenge now, he sees plenty of developed females with another male(s). He challenges a male who is older than him for his mate, this male is in his mid twenties, this male is wiser and maybe stronger. The 18yo is going to do impulsive things to win and rise through the ranks to gain this males assests. It's an advantage for the 18yo to take risks to epearn rewards. I can show links if you want to back this all up. A 14yo male is near formal operations which is 15 or 16 for male braons. This is when the intellect matures out in the PFC to make informed decisions, the limbic system tho develops much faster than the PFC, so the emotions are haywired. This is where pleasure fight or flight and other adult emotions come from, basically the amygdala that is part of the limbic system is a car accelerator, the PFC is the brake that is still a major wip. Thhe amygdala hjacks the pfc and makes it harder for teens to think in the moment. It's not impossible just very difficult.
@SuperTCGamer
@SuperTCGamer 3 жыл бұрын
Also not to mention, a 14yo male is NOT a child. Most times a 14yo male is not a physical adult. The right term here to apply in biology, legality and neuroloy is adolescent.

Do y’all realize The mom who is calling her husband “daddy” to Parker knowing his father (Caleb) is right there. The only reason she’s doing that is to upset and manipulate Parker by telling him his whole life is there. I watch this video every few months because it gives me strength on the decision I made. I left my mother almost 2 years ago (I turn 18 this year I left after I turned 16) I am so proud of Parker for making his decision when he did. Also the step dad in the back making Parker feel bad for leaving his siblings- that’s guilt tripping all the way. Like dude shut up this is hard enough for him to leave his little siblings with y’all crazy people. A note to Parker. You are older now but I am so happy that you got to speak your mind and get out of there when you got the chance. Congratulations. A note to Caleb. Thank you so much for being a good father to Parker and the other kids. I wish I had a dad like you in my life so I could’ve gotten out faster. You are amazing thank you for what you’ve done. I'm totally on this kid's side. When I was growing up, my parents had joint custody of me. I spent a week living with each parent and going back and forth. When I was 14 years old, I told my mom I wanted to stay with her full-time because my dad had been verbally and emotionally abusive to me for the previous 2-3 years No amount of talking then (or now when I'm in my late 30s) helped him to admit his mistakes or improve his behavior. When my mom told him that she was not going to force me to go back to him, he called the police. He pulled the 'she's just being a rebellious teen and her mom is influencing her' card. and was all nice when the police showed up. Fortunately the police took my side and listened and didn't make me go back when I said I didn't want to go to my dad's place. I continued to visit my dad and despite the difficulties, I continue to have a relationship with him to this day. At times the verbal abuse continued even when I visited him. You can tell this mom is condescending and gaslighting. If a teen is saying they don't want to live with a particular parent, there is usually something more going on. Listen to them. The only suggestion I have is that if you are going to put this video on KZfaq, block out the kid's face so that he has privacy. Once it is on the internet it is out there forever.

Honestly it’s fine if a parent calls a step parent their child’s mom/dad. But if it makes the child uncomfortable, then the child or biological parent needs to say something. i analyzed her body language and she was highly confrontational and she knew the fight she was getting into. she kept fidgeting with her sunglasses in the first part, shaking her head, hands on hips other power stances. she was pointing at him and trying to stand her ground, she was gaslighting the kid practically the entire time and being a manipulative narcissistic parent. the kid was distressed and the adult was trying to grab the child out of the car. the adult was trying to earn the sympathy of the officer by saying “so i was in the wrong” and other things trying to manipulate the officer. this is a good example of a narcissistic parent. she deflected almost everything the child said. stay safe out there, call for help if you are in an abusive situation.
