Real Woods was pinned beyond belief. How that wasn’t called is just unreal. Also, Real Woods hasn’t looked good all year. Close matches and nothing like his run last year. He must be tired and burned out. I think he will be much more dangerous at the NCAAs.

Most impressive part to me is that he never stopped chasing his own offense. He didn’t capitalize on a bad shot / end of match flurry, he hand fought to his own snap down and secured the pinning combo, which earned him the major. True grit!

Woods looked a lot like Spencer Lee in that match when he got pinned. When wrestlers think there so good, that you should just roll over and be thankful that you got the opportunity to wrestle greatness, is when they lose!! When your ranked #1 in the country, you should still wrestle every match like your life depended on it! Look at Carter Suraci of Penn State. He comes out every match like it’s a battle for life and death! This is why he doesn’t lose! This is why he’ll be a 4 time national champion!!

I’m not in Iowa fan at all. I didn’t even like real woods probably because he was on Iowa. But real wood is the man, even in defeat! The sportsmanship that man shows has been second to none. I’ve been watching him since last year and even when he lost the national championship, and when he lost tonight, he looked that man in the eye, and shook his hand firmly, and even patted him on the back. And he always competes hard. I’m sure he’ll come back and be in the finals this year. Good luck, rooting for him!

I’m a huge Iowa fan but Michigan just came to play and put a beat down on the Hawks. I’ll have to see where Reals tech falls came? He has eeked out a number of wins with really close matches. Last year he had lots of tilts. Few if any this year.

Because the brands are bad coaches, the only reason their team is even halfway relevant is because of their recruiting. None of their athletes get better if anything they get worse the more time they spend there

Woods always wrestles close to the vest. He doesn't overpower his opponents. He usually wins by one, two or three points. So when Woods gets behind, he doesn't have the offense to overcome it.

Another iowa senior regressing and looking messed up. Eiereman was a shell of his former self during his last campaign and it was sad to see. Its probably time to make some coaching changes if the brands dont do something to fix this.

He often starts fast and scores big early than looks tired or nonchalant the rest of the match. He started this match fast but got outwrestled and didn't score to build that lead
