Greg makes hard candy in the flavor and image of chocolate covered strawberries as part of our 2021 Valentines day image candy assortment. He also has tracked down the person who created the first chocolate covered strawberries, Loranne Loresso. Most of her information came from a cool video that hardly anyone's watched that her family made about her live.

If Greg says he will make a candy taste a certain way - he will. Just ordered several types of his candy, and let me be very clear - it was THE best hard candy I have ever had in my life. This man is a candy genius! He is brilliant. Cannot wait to order more! And as an aside, I always love the music he chooses for these videos.

i love this, but i think what makes the normal content so soothing for me is your narration after the fact, with no anxiety about if the batch will come out successfully. it feels like i'm peeking in on a peaceful process with a calm guide rather than watching someone work on the spot. that's entirely just me though and the videos are great either way.

Of all the candies I've seen Greg make this one really blew me away. Great color scheme and spot on graphic. They came out incredibly well especially when you consider that the candy was cooling quicker than it normally does at the beginning.

Hey Greg! This combo gave me an idea that is going to sound really odd. Ever thought about a fruit and cheese combination to your candy? I suppose starting with a cream flavor and adding something for tang would give you a mild cheesecake/creamcheese flavor or even brie. But what about cheddar like some people like to have on apple pie? Also, do you guys make your own ice cream? Babish and Sohla did a buttered popcorn ice cream that was pretty fun sounding and I figured it might be one you'd be into also :)

I got a new mic that got rid of most of the background hum of the store that made it possible. The downside is it is substantially harder and more time consuming to edit.

oh yes it's dangerously hot. Sugar melts at 320 degrees fahrenheit (160 Celsius). My wife once spilled molten sugar on her hand and it took months to heal. There is nothing fun about liquid sugar.

So glad I had the opportunity to visit your shop at the end of January 2020. I'd gotten hooked on your videos the previous year, and when I realized we'd be passing right past your exit on our trip home, we just had to drop in. Never thought I'd get a chance to go there in person (we're from Northern Wisconsin). Was sad to see you weren't working that day, and there was no candy being made, but it was still a wonderful experience!

In Asia we have fresh strawberries, grapes, pineapple and banana slices covered in hardened sugar candy. Yummy!

Oh, the heating table has different zones? I don't remember you explaining that before. Very sophisticated for older equipment. They knew what they were doing back then.
