It wouldn't work for the video, but the real reason that eggs involve killing baby chicks is because when they hatch a new generation of chicks to become egg laying hens, the males are either ground up alive, or suffocated in a bag. The reason they don't use the male chicks for meat is that a different breed of chickens are used for meat, since they are have more meat per bird and thus, more profitable.
