Actors Who Had To Perform Dangerous Stunts Behind The Scenes
Hey, TheThings fans! Welcome back to another video. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean is a franchise that’s packed with action and stunts. We’ve been taught to look at most films as fictional, but the truth is that a majority of the sword fights, cliff jumping, and ship robbing scenes were filmed in full by the actors and their stunt doubles.
As you can imagine - these scenes often got dangerous. In this video, we’ll be walking you through all of the scenes from The Curse of the Black Pearl through Salaza’s Revenge that were treacherous to film and even sent some of the cast on an ambulance ride to the hospital.
However, you’ll be shocked to find out that a lot of these dangerous scenes don’t actually look all that dangerous in the final cut. Something as simple as a wet deck on a ship caused catastrophe on these films.
One of these scenes was so perilous it completely ended the career of one of the film's stunt doubles. And - if you thought Johnny Depp was a dedicated actor before, wait until you find out what he went through to bring Captain Jack Sparrow to life. Or the accident that happened on set to Keira Knightley when she was just seventeen.
