The old RR stuff is cool. About 15 years ago, Philly put a park where an old B&O coach yard had stood. Found lotsa fragments of "Derby" pattern dinnerware, some cracked insulators, and even a piece of a lantern globe with B&O embossed on it.

if someone finds bottles they don't want they should put them back. a kid may stumble upon them and become a bottler

Maybe so, going by the NC law on the books,but there has probably been more Moonshine made in the state than in any other state in the country. Wilkes County was once known as the Moonshine capitol of the Nation,and over the past 100 years there's been enough white liquor made in the state to float a ship..

that milk bottle was embossed I thought that's what raised lettering means

That milk bottle at 6:14 was embossed.

It just said ONE PINT. That's not considered an embossed milk.

I can understand not really wanting bottles from the 40's but why don't you really care that they get broke. If I were you I would keep all old bottles I found. They may not be worth anything now but they may in the future. You spend the time to dig them up why not keep them.

NCbottles I watched a video this guy was digging bottle dumps. He would keep the bottles he wanted and he would destroy the rest. He would put them in a bag and smash them then recycle the glass.
