That damn fan is always trying to steal the spotlight 😂 yea I wasn't trying to over extend as much in this one. Glad you noticed that. At the end when I'm backing up to the starting position but still swinging my saber around, i would call that some form III defensive moves. Circular strokes that deviate the opponent's blade from yours
@RyanR-ty2nw2 ай бұрын
@@DarthImagnus0790 Fascinating. Yes, in budo, there are naturally different schools of thought for any given situation, but keeping movements tight and inside the frame of the body (from the opponent's standpoint) will always make those movements harder for the eye to detect. The harder it is for the eye to detect it, the longer it takes to respond. Very interesting, indeed! 👍👍

@@RyanR-ty2nw I love how you broke that down. That was perfect! My friend is teaching me more about 2 handed strokes. When he had me do a mid stance and sweep the blade away from up coming attacks, it instantly reminded me of Form III Soresu. I love how star wars Legends lore will pull actual techniques from samurai, monks, ninjas, fencing, etc. That's why I like to throw in some Taekwondo kicks here and there, or hilt strikes. I suppose that's why I favor Form VI Niman, because it utilizes the other forms. It's like a Jack of all trades, but you don't focus on one specific Form.

@@DarthImagnus0790 See, I find the way that folks have gone in and actually broken down the lightsaber styles into different forms fascinating. I can spot different styles of Kenjutsu, even ones that I don't practice myself... Katori Shinto Ryu, Yagyu Shinkage Ryu, and so on... and it sounds like you can do likewise with these saber forms.
@DarthImagnus07902 ай бұрын
@@RyanR-ty2nw well the styles that you mentioned, I have never been properly trained, so I wouldnt be able to call them out on the same level as you can. But I'm sure you can spot some of the styles within my videos

@@TheTranscendentForce would you consider deja vu to be a form of foresight? I remember this one time years ago, my brother had walked down the stairs, and before he could say anything, I said, "mom wants me to take out the trash and clean up the dog poop". He just stood there for a second and was like, "uh yea...how did you know". It was because deja vu hit me right as he walked down the stairs. It was the noise of the stairs that triggered the deja vu. Anyways, I like to think it is. I also think that a lot of deja vu comes from dreams we have. That is why the memory feels familiar but lost at the same time.

@@DarthImagnus0790 well, such things could be explained by many ways, and yours is one of them. Like i said, i saw things and events which couldn't be told because surely i would be considered as crazy or very cheap liar. @DarthImagnus07902 ай бұрын
@@TheTranscendentForce so basically because of your experience, you have an easier time accepting things of this nature? That's very open minded of you, and I commend you for being like that. I have some stories from things I have seen in Afghanistan and sleep paralysis demons, that if I talked about it on here, I would look crazy. I know what you mean. Normally I dont talk about it because of how outlandish it sounds, and from previous reactions I've experienced when I've told people in person. It's almost as if it is hard to grasp the concept, unless you yourself have been through a similar experience
