I grew up in a Christian household and in a variety of Protestant churches, but I don't ever remember pancakes being a thing around Easter. When I first heard of Shrove Tuesday and its associated pancakes, it was in connection with the UK.

Chuck is eating in the sanctuary?!?!!?!? What blasphemy! I though every church had a sign on the doors "please no food or drinks in the sanctuary" just kidding :-) I love these videos!!! Please keep them rolling!

Thanks, Chuck! See also "Doughnut Day" and Fasnachts, for those of us serving in the areas where the EUB part of our UM heritage is still going strong (Ja, Pennsylvania Germans!). If you love jelly beans, perhaps you'd love jelly doughnuts on Shrove Tuesday, too! (Disclaimer: true Fasnachts are plain, potato-based yeast pastries fried doughnut-style sans filling, but for you they'd do jelly, I'm sure).
