This video is a cracker Lisa! Again, you are doing a great service by pointing things out that almost no one clarifies about living in Australia and then likely don't appreciate enough. Though I have been a sceptic about Australia when I was a very young adult, I remember when I first returned from living overseas for several years, I was really happy about many of the things you mentioned such as a great coffee culture, strangers saying a friendly hello, general friendliness in public dealings, the easy going, laid back approach to life and how people just generally let you be. :) I just couldn't overlook the benefits no matter how I had been spoiled before. :)

....Of course the natural beauty, the weather, the diverse, wonderful nature also rates a mention. 😄

I found your video to be very sensible for a change and covered the diversity of Australia very well. Spikes on helmets are generally only needed when the female magpies are protecting their young, other times you’re safe.

You are a beautiful breath of fresh air and no I'm not pissing in your pocket , you don't know how refreshing it is to watch an honest summation of someone who is not a loud whinjing pommie or yank buggers who have never been here or if they have its been on a 10 day package tour that stayed in a tourist destination and immediately become experts on God's country Australia . Thanks for the cool new content. In regard to the food options you mentioned, I find it quite difficult to find Bio food. In stores and for affordable prices. I realised it as my partner only buy and consume bio food back in France and in Australia it is very limited and expensive. I think the market has minimal demand for it and probably won't change in years to come. Also, I have seen cyclists with spikes sticking out of their helmets, and I always wondered why. Now I know, so thanks for that haha.

Hello, I am back in the UK. I got a sponsored work visa back in 2018. Long story short, the job wasn't what I was sold and it was generally a disaster. Plus I was in a very remote part of Oz. Anyway, that experience taught me a lot about myself and in hindsight I should have asked a lot more questions and visited Tasmania before I signed up. I now have 2 new opportunities for sponsored work visa's. The first is with a different company, much smaller in Perth where I have a second interview this week. The second is with my current company in UK that is setting up in Oz and I can go in the first wave, all sponsored again but in Brisbane. I am a bit apprehensive about doing all this again after the last bad experience, but this time I am asking a lot more questions and will visit Perth to decide if I am made an offer this week. One thing I did find difficult was emigrating on my own, my family made a big song and dance about it last time with a last meal as a family out, cards and emotional phone calls, it made it ten times harder. This time I probably won't tell them and just go and let them know a month or two in Perth or Brisbane. :)
