Queen Elizabeth II sat on the throne for over 70 years, making her the longest-reigning British monarch in history. In that time, she amassed a huge fortune and many priceless possessions. So, now that she’s passed, what does the Royal Family stand to inherit?
The Queen had her own personal jewelry collection and the official Crown jewels. Just her personal jewels, which include over 300 gorgeous and historical pieces, rings in at $110 million. Many guess that Duchess Kate and Queen Consort Camilla will receive some pieces, including tiaras. Obviously, the new King Charles III will inherit the throne, many of his mother’s castles, and ownership of the Crown Jewels, private estate, art collection, stamp collection, and real estate portfolio. Things are a little foggier for items like cars, horses, and the Queen’s iconic fashions. The Queen’s corgis will go to her son, Andrew, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Duchess Kate and Prince William will get Charles’ and Camilla’s former titles as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, as well as their $1.3 billion Duchy of Cornwall Estate.
Since the world is still in mourning, it may be a while before we find out exactly what everyone inherited from the Queen. Any royal fan worth their salt is very much aware that the Princess Royal and Zara very likely to inherit the horses given the fact that they are very accomplished equisteriennes and former members of Team GB'S Olympic teams. Princess Anne competed in the Montreal summer games in 1976 and Zara won bronze I believe in the 2012 London Games. In addition to that, the Queen's youngest granddaughter, Lady Louise began to develop an interest in carriage driving which made her grandfather, Prince Philip happy and reportedly, they went out carriage driving in Windsor Great Park a few times back a few years ago. So maybe she'll inherit some of the horses. The narrator didn't do any research on who has interests in horses in the wider RF.

I was just a little girl when I watched the Queen's coronation on our tiny t.v. set all those many years ago. I think Princess Charlotte looks so much like Her Majesty and am sure that The Queen has left her something beautiful in her will to comfort that little girl in the loss of her beloved great grandmother.

It’s already been lent to Princess Catherine (she is the Duchess of Cambridge and has worn it multiple times). The Queen will leave the jewelry to the crown to avoid the taxes and to keep them in the royal line. They loan crowns for life so they stay in the family. When Fergie divorced Andrew she got to keep her tiara only because it was made and gifted to her as a wedding present because she didn’t have a family tiara like Princess Diana and other previous wives did. Diana had to return the lovers Knot because it was loaned though. The Queen gifted Katie lots of jewelry like the pearl necklace that she wore at the funeral. The Queen was savvy she would have lent for life the crowns she wanted and gifted the jewelry that was important prior to her passing.

Also Princess Anne and her Daughter Zara are very talented equestrians. Princess Anne competed in the 1976 Olympic Games. Her daughter Zara also is an Olympian and competes in many equestrian events. I would say that makes other royals being interested in horses. The Queen Mother also owned race horses and often attended races with her daughter.

Actually a few of the late Queen's corgis are directly related to Susan, the beloved corgi of the then Princess Elizabeth. The late Queen had been an avid dog breeder for over 70 years.

All the Queen's original corgis died and she wasn't planning on getting anymore, due to her advanced age. The two corgis she had were gifts given to her by Andrew and Fergi in 2021, with the understanding they would take the dogs when the Queen passed away.

I think you meant those Crown Jewels is owned by the state (ie the Crown) and lends to the reigning Monarch for state functions. Also for 2:04 Her mother and grandmother were not really Monarchs just the Consort of Monarchs while the Late Queen Elizabeth II was Queen Ragent. That’s why she is numbered and her mother and grandmother aren’t. It will probably be goto to Camila and Catherine. Also let’s not forget Meghan isn’t a working Royal anymore, I am sure got stuff but probably nothing that’s tightly linked to the monarchy itself (even if privately owned) & probably got more personal items that have less regal associations with them

Sam its hard for people who have not studied or chosen to underrstand the intricaes of HRH and the Queen Consorts vurses Queen Regnant ...Basicly The Queen regnent is the Monarch ...not herely married to a Monarch. I wouldnt use the word "lends" Its much more than that.... The Monach is the only person who has the right to use the Crown Jewels. I somehow thing The Queen will leave everything she has to King Charles and like his Mother and Grandmother be happy to lend stuff to other members so the family as an when. Queen mary made a big mistake insetting up her younger family with their own sets of family Jewels and some amazing pieces... Im sure she expected them to stay in the family BUT even by the time she died...The Royal Family was shrinking and less was expected of the younger royals... The Kents have already sold off a lot of their Jewels. The Gloucester's not so much...BUT its the Gloucesters who had the finest Jewels and those Jewels will most likey be sold off... and never be seen again Inc the amazing Cartier Indian Tiara left by Princess Marie Louise . Its truly magnifisent and i feel should be in the Royal Jewel collection, other pieces too ...But alas.

Apart from the pearls , watches, brooches small earrings that we used to seeing constantly all the tiaras, necklace,earrings and bracket sets will be in the crown collection. These jewels have been handed down for generations, and pass from sovereign to sovereign . It will be left to Charles and Camilla who wears what at special occasions, the Queen most likely with her great age has long ago made it known who gets what from HER private collection given to her by her parents and Philip. Every piece she wishes the women in her family to have( not ME ME) will. been written in her Will.

I think that with the exception of the most personal jewelry (wedding and engagement rings, burial jewelry) and jewelry lesser than fine jewelry, all jewelry of queens should go straight to the royal treasury. (That also includes all tiaras and crowns.)

Charles will inherit almost everything, jewelry wise, and it will be in his gift to allow the women to wear the jewels, probably only Camilla, Kate, Anne, and Sophie. The Queen may have bequeathed minor personal jewels to her other female descendants, godchildren, and close personal friends. But it is important to keep the collection together for the use of all future royals. No tiaras are going to anyone but Charles, but as Her Majesty did, he will allow certain people access to the jewelry, and there is a pecking order. The jewels are probably part of the estate of the Duchy of Lancaster, which Charles will inherit in full from his mother, as Monarch. Those that are not owned by the State, which are the Crown Jewels. The real estate is also part of the Duchy of Lancaster.

Actually, the daughter of The Princess Royal and therefore the grandaughter of QE2, Zara Tindell, is an equine enthusiast and professional. Zara was an Olympic equestrian and loves horses as much as mother, Anne, and her grandmother, QE2. Its kinda cool! I stumbled upon your channel today. I think that it is likely that almost all the jewelry and personal money will go to King Charles as part of the job. Probably lesser more useful pieces will go to the other children. There are probably trusts in Anne, Andrew and Edward.

Well technically due to the Letters Patent that was issued by George V the Monarch's great grandfather , HM the King can decide whether to bestow Prince/Princess titles upon Archie and Lilibet since they are grandchildren through his male line now that he's King. We'll have to wait and see whether he'll do so . He has worked to streamline the royal family so it may be in the end, the Prince and Princess of Wales' children may be his only grandchildren with HRH Prince/Princess titles. If he does bestow HRH Prince/Princess titles on them , their parents can decline the request, as they did when Archie was born, which is one of the reasons why he's known as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten -Windsor.

I wonder how all this inheritance with jewels and money will go when Camilla passes away. Wondering if all the royal tiaras and jewels that were passed down amongst history now leave the monarchy and go to Camilla's children. It would be her right to do so and her children do certainly to deserve something. When the king marries divorced women with past kids, or the same with a queen I bet inheritance is get messy. But I think the real shame is it seems like some of this could be passed on to some charities that help the poor since it was all paid for by tax dollars. The only exception anything left to Meghan Markle will probably be buried with her because she probably thinks she can take it with her.

I am not sure why Meghan didnt go to the queen husbant Funeral, Meghan said that her doctor told not to travel. as she is about to deliver. its funny that her doctor didnot know that she was not pregrant she only had a suregent, she had a baby bump just like when she said that she was pregrant withArchie she had a surgant, thats why she went to canada to pick up the baby boy!

My goodness, you didn't do a very good research job. William did of course receive the titles you mentioned, but you missed the most important one by far. William, and Catherine are now The Prince, and Princess of Wales, their children also hold tiles such as Prince George of Wales and so on! Harry and his wife's children did not automatically, they don't get titles unless the Reigning Monarch bestows one on one, or both of them. Harry's wife is on record/film saying that she DID NOT WANT TITLES for her child, so it is quite reasonable to not bestow any on either of their children. Try and get it right, do your homework! C- for this lack of effort!

What the heck, you need to do better research. There is definitely someone interested in horses, do you not know that her Granddaughter Zara was an accomplished equestrian, she won a silver medal at the Olympics…sheesh… Prince William and his wife are now, The Prince and Princess of Wales, which is the highest title they have, therefore, they are addressed by that title, a Royal always uses their highest ranking title…they retain the Duke and Duchess Title’s of Cambridge and Cornwall, when their children are older, they will most likely inherit those titles…

Because the KING outranks the QUEEN. So, since phillip was not the inheritor of the crown, he could not be given a title that outranked the monarch. He was Prince consort.

Well technically due to the Letters Patent that was issued by George V the Monarch's great grandfather , HM the King can decide whether to bestow Prince/Princess titles upon Archie and Lilibet since they are grandchildren through his male line now that he's King. We'll have to wait and see whether he'll do so . He has worked to streamline the royal family so it may be in the end, the Prince and Princess of Wales' children may be his only grandchildren with HRH Prince/Princess titles. If he does bestow HRH Prince/Princess titles on them , their parents can decline the request.

Harry would have been very aware that until the Queen passed away his children would not be styled as prince and princess. Unless you are in direct line to the throne (as Prince William's children are), those titles only extend 2 generations beyond the current monarch, so only to the grandchildren, no further.
