He won 19 of the 22 races in 2023 NOT 15. Perez won twice and the only non Red Bull win was Sainz in Singapore.

Interestingly, Hamilton had one of his best seasons in 2021 despite losing in terms of things like most overtakes. I think both drivers pushed each other to limit

Lewis had a very poor season in 21 compared to max. He crashed out of 2 races all by himself (imola and baku), and had a string of underperformances like 7th at Monaco although bottas proved the car was capable of 2nd, 4th at austria, and couldn't even beat a williams at spa. At sochi he crashed and broke his rear wing in q2, then crashed again in q3, and in practice managed to run over some of his own pit crew. When you compare that to max, max finished 1st or 2nd every single race, no underperformances at all, and his only solo error was his q3 crash at jeddah. It was a much better performance from max and a thoroughly deserved wdc.

@@mattleeke2163 Finally someone talking sense. His title wasn't robbed or stolen, it was genuinely deserved. Silverstone was a disgrace as well. 10 second penalty to win the race and take 25 points.

I just love how OCON gave interviews in the past and still today saying he was furious when verstappen was given a seat in F1 and he wasnt. Ocon won the 2014 F3 championship, verstappen came in third.... but Ocon wasnt being realistic. Ocon had the best car, the best team that just won a championship the year before and he only managed 9 racewins. Verstappen was a year younger, no previous open wheel experience, driving a car that was worse in a smaller team and he won 10 races!!! Even though Ocon won on points and verstappen came in 3rd in the championship, it was clear to everyone verstappen was the more talented driver!

Ocon is a massive narcissist. I wouldn't put it past him to have a stock picture of himself on his nightstand. This is also presumed to be the reason why he tried to unlap himself against Max which caused him to spin Max and ruin his race win. Ocon is the biggest dickhead on the grid, I'm thoroughly enjoying the karma he's being dealt with Alpine this season.

We are witnessing a legend! He deserved that 2021 title, I don't get why everyone looks at 1 race for the entire championship. Even finishing Silverstone would have given him the win.

He didn't deserve it, he was gifted it. The reason people look at the last race is because that is where it all ended. If Max did this and if Lewis did that then either of them could have been world champion sooner, that's not what happened though. The reality is Lewis should have won the last race and the championship had race control not intervened and basically gave Max the win.

@@bensel1547 You can point to races in the entire championship where both Lewis and Max did stuff wrong, the problem with the last race wasn't just that it affected the championship, it was race fixing which is illegal. If you bet on the person in 7th getting 6th you got shafted just the same due to how poor the stewarding was. The fact that it basically handed the championship to Max was just the cherry on top.

About the rule of Drivers to have their Driver licence. Bearman, who race for Ferrari 2 weeks ago, he doesn't have his driver licence. There were news that he actually didn't pass the test AFTER the race.

Whoever says they like Max and only Max, hasn't been watching Formula 1 prior to Netflix. Any real fan of formula 1 appreciates Max, Lewis, and Alonso. Because they are the champions of the sport we love.... Fanboys needa exit the building and head back to DTS drama

I agree. I also appreciate Max, Lewis and Fernando. And also Michael, Ayrton, Nelson and other drivers. Since the early '80 I follow the F1. First in printed press (magazines) and later on TV. Of course I like it that Max is on top right now (I'm Dutch, so I'm a little biased) but I think we are watching history right now. In a couple of years it may be someone else, but right now: let's enjoy it!

@@VanderHoven-hn8dl I'm not saying nobody can have a favorite... it's the blatant disrespect for other drivers in the process. Me personally... I route for Hamilton, but I'm not mad at Max because I also follow him in sim racing as well. Just appreciate these 20 guys is all

I agree again! And to be honest, I route for Michael. But that's probably because he has my age and I saw him coming and becoming victorious. And every Formula 1 driver deserves respect as they have reached the highest possible in racecar driving. I think we are quite on the same page. 😀@@ThatRedCar78

17 not 18. When you are 17 you are eligible for a driver's license in the Netherlands.

Correction, at 17 you can get a learner's permit. You'll have to drive with a chaparone until you're 18 and your license is converted into a full driver's license.

In Barcelona 2016 Max also became the first Dutchman to ever win an F1 race (the first Dutch podium sitter was his dad who had 2 third places during his time at Benneton) 5:02 that save, I had to grab new underwear when I was watching that, Max on the other hand "had a slightly elevated heartrate" 6:15 He always said that the record didn't matter to him, but when Daniel took that pole away with a few hundreds of a second the week before, he was furious. According to an interview with him, it was one of his most "pissed off" moments. He had a similar feeling according to sources after Azerbaijan last year. 7:09 One of the best seasons in recent history yet it will mostly be remembered because of one race and one finish. Both drivers fully deserved that title.Both Masi and in all fairness Mercedes screwed up. The race should have been red flagged to give everyone a fair ending. No matter how happy I was for Max, it wasn't how it should have ended. Regardless who would have won, it should have been done in a fair sprintrace. There are a few titles in F1 history with a sour taste, and 21 is ne of them. There are enough records still to break for Max but I don't know if he gets the two big ones.. number of wins and number of championships. He said he might quit after 28 which hardly gives him time foor most wins (I mean, we must assume he isn't gnna win everything again right?) and 8 Championships in a row? I mean, he is probably capable, but is Red Bull that as well. It is not just the man, he drives a car. EDIT: WOW major oopsie here. 10:06 Sir, he won 19 of 22 races in 23 he won 15 in 22.

The problem is Mercedes didn't screw up, they made the choice based on track position and rules, it should have either finished allowing ALL cars to unlap themselves (thus finishing under the safety car) or it should have restarted without ANY cars being allowed through meaning Max had to clear back markers before attacking Lewis or just not had the SC as the car wasn't even in the way. It was Masi and Masi alone that f'd up.

@@Eric-rf1isNope just a fact. First he lived in Belgium were he was born, now in Monaco for tax reasons. He chose to drive for the Netherlands as his Father is Dutch and he spend lots of time with him. And be honest we all would prefer the Dutch supporters legion instead of the Belgian 5 man nagging team. And think of the merchandising the orange legion buy, for that reason alone he went to Monaco😂i think. But in the end its just a fact, no hurt M8 as i am a true Max supporter.🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
