We explored the subject of what early years maths looks like. I eagerly welcomed Clare Devlin, who joined this February's sparkDEBATE.
With 150 people signing up, early years maths appears to be a subject at the forefront of educator’s minds. There are many examples during the discussion, and I am sure something will inspire you with a new idea and natural reflection. Reflections for me included the notion of ‘mindful play’ as a strategy when facilitating/teaching and ensuring resources are available for progression, even if the child/children don’t appear to be at that stage yet. I hope you enjoy and please like and leave your comments below to increase the chance for others to experience and gain.
❔ Please share your suggestions for resources with maths in mind.
