What nice land. Here our land is rocky with thin soil, there are only hills with one of the largest hills in a few hours drive being Mount Tom. There are some areas with rich land a few hours in the other direction. Very similar trees. In the less fertile land there is mostly spruce though.

I used to shoot the sst in 270.they just blow up on impact and don’t penetrate well,i went to the copper gmx so they stay together and penetrate much better so you will have an exit hole. Nice buck!

Buddy I wish the best for you on this venture your going on but you need to let them baby's walk man. Go for mature deer that have had plenty of time to breed and live. Hope you get a nice one next year.

Thanks, the problem with that is, the neighbor and his family shot all the other bucks on camera and this was the only one left. I'll be heading to NH next year to try to tag a mature buck. Thanks for watching.
