Didn't have to hold down the safety or give it gas to get the Badger started, but you had to from the start with the Husqvarna and when it did run it sounded rougher than the Badger. A lot of people are crapping on the Badger because they're brand fanboys, but I'll tell you what for me and someone that's owned and used a Stihl for the past 7 years that $100 price difference in this economy matters more to me than those big companies. Most of the Husqvarna's are made in China now too, so it's basically the same thing for cheaper and as I said the Badger sounded healthier new out of the box than the Husq did new out of the box. That Husq just sounded like a sick engine and if I'd bought one that sounded that rough for $250 I'd be taking it back to the store and they'd be lucky if I accepted another one to try and didn't just say it's a bad experience so give me a refund and I'll go to another brand. I just ordered a Badger, mine will be here this Tuesday and for what I do and how I care for my equipment I'm sure it'll last me many years to come. I'm rougher on mine, don't always have a nice dry perfect place to store them in winter yet I've gotten my Stihl to last longer than the neighbors with better storage places have gotten theirs to last so I'm anxious to give the Badger a try. In this terrible economy that $100 is better in my pocket than in some company like Husq who's now got China building their equipment so it's no different, just paying for a name is all.

I bought the wild badger 52cc model with handlebars as a dedicated brush cutter. I live in a rural area. Lots of power and the same responsiveness. Trust me, I use that harness. It's heavy compared to my curved shaft Ryobi string trimmer. So far I'm pleased with the wild badger's performance.

Fair review , the only problem for me is those premixed fuels. I personally have had problems with several premixed fuels. They have some terrible reviews. Husqvarna likes good fuels and their oil or stihl. I have Husqvarna chainsaws and weedeaters. Running years and years no problems. Good fuel and oil is key. I also happen to have the Badger with all the attachments......got it on sale for 199. A bargain. I use the attachments more than anything!! Mini chainsaw and brush cutter. I use my Husqvarna for weedeating. Just my thoughts. Good Video Henry!! 😊 Boy.....your getting ahead of yourself racing around on that finished scooter!!! Hahaha 😂!!

I've heard good things about the wild badger and if thats the same one I looked at recently it has a 3 year commercial warranty and i think a 5 or 6 year residential warranty. I'd go with the badger too.

Those are nice straight trimmers, but coming from someone who works on trimmers and Blowers, my personal equipment is either echo or stihl, simply because of the carbs, and price of parts. I work on anything, but I tell my customers, if it's not a stihl or echo, don't expect a cheap repair.

I think you did a very fair review Henry. Its sad the way the Husqvarna ran right out of the box, but its even sadder that it didn't run much better after you adjusted it. For a company thats is supposed to be quality, i think that carb is a POS! The wild badger ran great right out of the box. The average homeowner isnt going to adjust anything on a new piece of equipment. Good job! ✌🇺🇸

Husq has outsourced a lot of it's parts and labor to China, that's what most people don't know and Stihl is starting to do the same thing. You have a lot of people that will say oh Badger is just cheap Chinese junk, meanwhile they've not looked into how their own brand with loyal following is doing the exact same thing but still charging you as if it was hand built in the US so it's more profits to them. Just imagine not having ever owned Husq and the first thing you get is a trimmer that runs like the one in this video, it's going to leave a rotten taste in your mouth and cause you to never look at that brand again. They're torching their own legacy, and when they lose their loyal brand fanboys they'll be down to the level of Craftsman.

I just bought the wild badger to finish out the rest of the mowing season cuz my other weedeater scattered. Just a heads up, you can rotate the bottom shaft with the different holes where it is put together if you want to edge. You wont have to move your handle like you said or worry about fuel coming out of the tank cuz the engine is flip on its side
@MowersNBlowers
@MowersNBlowers 11 ай бұрын
I never tried that before, but i find that a pain in the ass to have to loosen the wing nut and disconnect then reconnect and tighten every time I need to edge. Id prefer just to tilt it to the side and do my business.

Did you notice any different in comfort level as far as machine vibration, etc? I had another brand similar to that, but the shaft vibrated way more than any other trimmer I've used. Does the WB have the square end on the drive cable or a 7/9 tooth star layout? Curious if other brand attachments would fit the powerhead.

@mattwickert736 11 ай бұрын
@@MowersNBlowers very cool. If the attachments are cross-compatible, that opens up a big market for the WB owners. I've seen 3 or 4 different videos of the same comparison, and everyone had the same starting and idling issues on the Husqvarna. I've owned one and worked on several, and none of them experienced those same symptoms. Certainly hope it's nothing nefarious on the manufacturer's end. Also, my trimmer like the WB was not an attachment capable one, so maybe that had something to do with the vibration - I loaned it to my lawn guy and he said he couldn't get through a full day from it too. You could almost feel the drive cable inside the shaft slapping around like they were missing the guides buffers inside or something.
@appalachianwoman561
@appalachianwoman561 Ай бұрын
Attachments from a lot of other brands will work with WB and vice versa, and it works just fine. Bad thing with the Husq's these days is they've gone to outsourcing to China as well. So you have a lot of people calling WB cheap Chinese junk when in reality their Husq is just as much a China product as WB. You'd think with Husq doing that, which means cheaper for them to make and more profits they'd bring their prices down but nah, they're greedy and making more profits off their equipment. Eventually tho, as many as I've seen new out of the box that run like absolute garbage they''re going to even lose their loyal brand fanboys and it won't end well for them once they've dragged that name thru the mud for the almighty profits.
