150G SC AQUARIUM REEF SALTWATER | HOW TO SET UP AND INSTALL A REEF TANK

Got My 180G Sold, and Prepping for the 150G To get moved into the house. I ended up getting a nice Yoga Matt so the tank can sit on it. SC AQUARIUMS does send a layer for you tank to sit on, but its crap foam. So I figured this would be a nice upgrade for my tank to sit on.
I had my Buddy Enrique swing by with some MAJOR MAN POWER. These Two Dudes, took care of Business and Moved tanks around like they where PROS! Very Thankful for them, Because they just MAN HANDLED those Fish Tanks Like they where paper weights. Shout out to them!
UPDATE OF THE 180G/20G ALL IN ONE NANO REEF TANK SC AQUARIUM ALL IN ONE CORAL REEF TANKS!

Having HULK on your side is a good thing. They took care of business for me, lol. They moved the 180G Twice, and the 150g once, made it look easy! Thank You have a good one!

HI Gil I thought about it when I got the tank in the garage how I was going to do it. It turned out Great in the End. I cant wait to get it started, the Wife Approves so Im Happy too, lol.

They where some Strong Guys! I dont know how we moved the 180g in place last time. I had it pretty much empty and it seemed heavier than I remember! Lol Im liking the 5 footer

Had some big dudes, I have two suction cups, they come in different grades, u can lift hundreds of pounds with them, seems like allot of work , but slow and steady wins the race!!

Yeah the suctions cups where great to have around. Im glad my LFS let me borrow them, ended up working out for me. If I was a pro id have a cart to put a tank on. But hopefully this tank will keep me satisfied for a long time!

been thinking of going SCA 120, but didn't want the internal overlfow due to how much space they take up and not being able to get good flow though the back of the tank. It looks like the overlfow boxes are not that big though. Is the overflow box as small as it seems?

Hi Scott, the overflow isnt that bad in my opinion. But then again, the 180g Overflows didnt bother me either. The overflows are kinda thin as far as material used. I would of liked to see a bigger thicker acrylic overflow.

I was looking at the mat, how did it cover your tank? I think when I was looking online everyone was out. I even looked at aquamaxx, they sell the neoprene mat too

I covered it nicely. i got the 72x24 so i definitely had enough. What i like with it is that it has a glue backing so when i stuck it to the stand i was able to slide the tank and not worry about it moving.

Oye papo! Isn't the yoga mat too soft ? U think that something stiffer/ harder like their gym floor padding would be better? Good luck!

Hi Tomas! It seems firm but you may be right, I think its better than the stuff that comes in the box. I still have that box foam Which is basically nothing. I think gym floor padding would of been perfect

I’m not a huge fan of used Sand also just another variable to worry about But everything looks good man tank is way bette than the last one just take your time don’t rush and get the scape you really want

KC Childers Hi KC! I agree but I was able to clean it out really good. If it was fresh sand I wouldn’t of used it at all! I’ll keep you posted thank you!
