Absolutely stunning! I knew as soon as I opened your post what I was looking at. Such a great representation of the MM ribbon. My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago. You have actually captured more of the meaning of MM than you perhaps realize. The faceless person is one aspect but also the colours, lacing and cells have really shown the underlying structure of the blood cells and marrow that are affected by MM (I'm not sure if anyone else sees it, but it is really striking to me). I am in awe and very thankful to you for this absolutely gorgeous painting in honour of MM. BTW - March is MM awareness month. We live in Canada and many provincial governments have officially declared it. We are thankful for any awareness brought to this devestating and, so far, treatable but incurable disease. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for doing this painting. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in August of 2020. I have been on chemotherapy ever since. I have also undergone a stem cell transplant that failed and caused the cancer to become more aggressive. I was given 6 months to 1 year to live unless I can get my Kappa Light Chain numbers down to an acceptable level within that time frame...(roughly). As of December 29, my numbers have almost reached the level needed for me to be a candidate for the next transplant which will be the Car-T stem cell transplant. I have been thinking about doing a similar painting myself to showcase the ribbon. Great job!.

I want to start doing some art peices experiment with paint pouring projects what would be a good starter kit for me to buy to start up? 🤔

Hmmm 🤔 I think it’ll depend on the technique you are after to learn as there are many under the fluid art umbrella. For flip cups, straight pours things like that I would maybe get a few premixed paints (pouring medium is in the paint, michaels and hobby lobby have them) and some silicone and just play around with that to see how you like it. Or if you want to mix your own paint then get a few acrylics, some floetrol (or other pouring medium) and silicone. The only actual kit I’ve seen is at hobby lobby and I’m not sure if they have it anymore or how good it is but maybe also check Amazon for a starter kit if you are wanting something like that. For the blooms and more what I do there are more components involved but I recently did experiments with US floetrol and it worked out well so that may be an inexpensive option to try out what I do without committing too much (see video 192 & 194). Incidentally, everything I use for each video is listed below in the description box under each video in case you ever wanted to go that route. Have fun on your art journey Amber! 💜
