I used the “I’m the Druid Faithwarden” line, and then I was thinking “wait… how the hell are you entangling me when I’m holding the friken quarterstaff that has the ability to not allow me to be entangled by Druidic vines” 🤦♀️🤦♀️

Act 2 is such a masterpiece for me. It's so dark and hostile with a singular safe harbor from all of it and this song makes that place feel as welcoming as it is.

Act 2 was the most narratively tight-much like act 3 and 4 in Divinity 2-but I wouldn’t trade the openness and freedom of acts 1 and 3 for anything. Yeah this was brilliant tho

And that nightsong scene too. The entire game we’ve seen gnolls, mindflayers, and just the most horrific creatures but this was the moment where divine good was shown so clearly to the player. We knew there was hope left

Which you can also ruin if you make the wrong choices or let the cult take Isobel. I soon learned all I did to save that place was forfeit once I encouraged Shadowheart to become a Dark Justiciar. I didn't know the consequences until too late. Nightsong tries to warn you of this too.

I've spent so much time in the Last Light Inn just walking around for this music. It gives me a peace and tranquility that is difficult to explain. This song is so beautiful.

last light is a special place, everyone you met along your journey in act 1 coming together at the haven. Meeting the harpers and isobel. Taking shelter from the shadow curse, truly amazing.

Honestly I'm on my second playthrough and am a Durge Halfling and I can't bring myself to slay Isobel and won't stop Shadowheart from sparing Nightsong... This music, the Tieflings from the grove, and everyone else just makes it so I can't.

@@AlesMicikjahira the legendary hero died in my playthrough because I was protecting the selune cleric with all my characters in the door way and she got giga ganked by the winged horrors and got paralyzed and crit and last save was an hour ago

@@AlesMicikIn my playthrough, the same thing happened, mostly on accident, because every enemy near Isobel rolled twenties, meaning the only people that survived were either blessed or holding a torch. I didn’t save scum, and I’m glad I didn’t due to that horrible feeling you get after watching a part of a movie where something annoying and unpreventable happens. Afterwards, I was glad.

Bobby, you're the reason I'm playing a Bard in Baldur's Gate III. Your music from Divinity: Original Sin II touched my heart, and the thought of being able to "play alongside you" with whatever instrument I pick is too good to pass up (though, I haven't decided which I'll pick yet, they all have such charm!). I can't wait to hear everything you have in store for us this time ❤

@@werttinen what? Borislav Slavov is memorable for making the music for the graphic card benchmark. There has been many attempts to overtake Crysis on the shooter style, but no musician was called forth to accompany the visual art of similar level. What is DOS2? Even Baldur's gate is a foundation for turn based games, what is DOS2 near it?

Last Light Inn is the kind of place where I can imagine the entire intergalactic community getting together, trillions of years from now when the age of stars is long forgotten and even the black holes are beginning to die, on a dark planet with a small dwarf star in the sky, and all laugh and cry and say goodbye to each other as our Universe finally comes to an end…

@@elowell85 In the beginning? Maybe an accordion? No clue... and on the transition I mentioned... maybe a tuba, and some strings combo (and maybe a harpsichord?). I'm a huge classical/orchestral music and movie scores fan, but I'm not an expert in instrument names.

DOS2 is my all time favorite soundtrack. I can tell that the same love and passion went into the soundtrack for this and I absolutely can't wait to finally play this game. Thank you for all of your incredible work. This is amazing.

You're legit the only composer alongside Chris Christodoulou to never have composed a single lacking song for as long as I have listened to your work. Thank you for making those OST man, thank you. DOS and BG3 would not have been the same without you. It was hard to come after Michael Hoenig, and you did a magnificent job.

This is such a beautiful piece...So warm, so welcoming...Then, a moment later, nostalgic, sad, but filled with hope, with fear of the unknown that is to come...Then again, with tones that say that everything will be all right in the end. What a wonderful, wonderful masterpiece. Respect Boris! ❤

This is a strong challenger for my favourite piece of video game OST ever. I don't know what it's feels like in a vacuum, but knowing the in-game context of it makes it incredible. It'll be tough to top this one, but considering I'm probably only half finished Act 2 I've got high expectations for the rest of the OST.

I felt such a powerfull emotion when I drunk with Jaheira at the Inn, with this music going on... I was as excited as Karlash, but in my case, it was like drinking with an old friend❤

This beautiful track reminds me of one clear image. Harper Lassandra's very first appearance with a torch in hand. Her blurry, battle weary eyes in the dim light of that torch. She was sad, tired but still had hope in her heart. One of the true, bravest leaders I've ever met in a game. That's why I kept healing her on every battle we've shared :)

"Last Light" song has truly grown on my heart and soul. Such beauty and pain and nostalgia. Yes why is this song so nostalgic? I love it, thank you, Maestro. I've been going through healing work with PTSD and the BG3 soundtrack has been part of my healing (my trauma therapist approves! Music therapy!) 💜
