This is Lae'zel's theme for me. It played in the creche after she realized she had been deceived her whole life and was fighting for all sorts of new reasons now. Borislav Slavov = god tier. I'm so happy he composed the track for this game after the bangers we got from Divinity 2

This game really has some unforgettable moments. Some built in and some that are unique to each playthrough. One of my favorites of all time.

I'm in a game with 2 friends, and I had my character take Lae'zel for the Creche. During the Inquisitor fight, everyone else fought the other gith, while Lae'zel personally confronted and dueled the Inquisitor. She was this close to winning - by the time he took her down, he was at 20% health and the other gith had been taken out.

Really? I only ever remember hearing this tune for the first time at that Last Light Inn battle, then just here and there in the Shadowlands. Especially during the Moonrise raid though, so I always associate it with the Harpers and Jaheira And then in act 3, by extension, with Minsc (and Boo!) too, especially with the Bard version of the song 😊 Not to say that you're wrong tho! I just find it interesting how differently some tunes can pop up in combat and make the players interpret them in other ways

The composer is Bulgarian, so very common in their folk music :) It’s also technically still 4/4 if you think about it

Lae'zels theme when she is betrayed by her people. Destroying that Creche after what they did was immensely satisfying. Only one I left alive was the dude watching over the hatchery.

I got to listen to this music for the first time in the game. It was a very harrowing battle. I won, but the aftermath and cutscene gave me some choices I didn't want to make. The music is EPIC though. Good job Mr. Slavov!

My party wiped the first time vs Ketheric Throm, was very epic. But in my second attempt, the entire fight took 4 rounds. Fireballs, Glyphs of Warding, and gloomstalker/assassin with hand crossbows made short work of the battle. I equally felt good and bad doing this lmao

How did you lose? I've had bad starts where i sent two people up to the right to deal with the mind flayer, failed and got them double stunned by his psionic stun wave thing (which in retrospect was really dumb), that's been my only wipe-worthy folly on this one.

There is a lot of CONAN: The Barbarian - Basil Poledouris in here and that is very good for a game like this. Because before dungeons and dragons, there was sword & sorcery.

Yes, Conan the barbarian has one of the most epic fantasy soundtrack ever created. Basil Poledouris was amazing!

Hearing a version of this at the Tiefling party, then at the battle against the Gith had me almost on tears. It was like the game itself was reminding me of my earlier adventures and victories, and telling me I should keep advancing... That, my friends, is ingenious music direction.

I will always remember the moment when I reached the Last Light Inn, and this music started playing as I explore the area after a grueling fight. It was absolutely perfect

I will always remember fighting through the creche and the part when the lady starts to sing at 1:28. Made me cry and reminded me of my childhood when i played Dragon Age Origins. In games like that i go 100% into my character so i felt like i am fighting to protect myself and my friends and also that this is the game i've been waiting for for years. I came back home thanks to this game after so many years. This is where i belong.

It's so sad that this song and part 2 only play at certain parts/bosses. I think I only heard it once in my entire playthrough, but GODS, it was amazing to use divine smite while listening to it.

Y'know it took me more than a month to realize the little motif at 1:07 is a reference to the Bhaalspawn battle theme from Baldur's Gate 2 (around the 1:11 mark of that theme) Feel free to correct me if I am wrong!

The first few strings, I definitely hear it. Ngl, i wish we had way more leitmotiffs from the original games though. For instance, fighting Sarevok in Act 3 with the original Temple of Bhaal theme would've been badass

Oh man this fight was intense! And also... i shed a tear when Jaheira coming in with the absolute CLUTCH Ice storm at the last minute! :D Just as whatshermoonface was about to be captured too!
