The elderly in the village watched me grow up, and they're very kind to me. We meet almost every day in the village, and they always give me something delicious. However, this is the first time I've officially invited them to a reunion dinner...Xishuangbanna's pineapple rice, Dali's raw hide, Dehong's lemon cold chicken... 16 dishes correspond to 16 cities in Yunnan, forming a food map of Yunnan.
I've cooked a lot of Yunnan dishes, but it's my first time to cook 16 dishes at a time and arrange them to make a map of Yunnan. My grandparents and their friends are so happy...I hope they will be healthy and safe, and be together every year!

I love that Granny even got all dressed up for the occasion, with her red coat and pretty pink hat! Also, the three kids huddled around the fire, eating and teasing each other while the adults eat at the table reminds me of how I used to eat with my cousins separately from the adults and we kids would all just chill together like them😂I love Axia in this, is this the first video with her in it?

I'll be honest, I teared up at the end. So heartwarming. 😭 Grandma should know grey hair and white hair are beautiful. 🥰 A sign of honor and respect! She should be proud of them, knowing she is blessed to earn each one of them as she's surrounded by her family and loved ones. You're still young, Grandma! ☺️ A wonderful episode, Penji. Unbelievable! It is such a joy to watch this, Penji. The whole map of the province idea and how you executed it, it's just a miracle. There is a saying here in our town that a place with many elderly people grandpas and grandmas is a blessed place and I can see that her village is one of them. Moreover they are more blessed to have penji by their side. Love seeing their grey hair and wrinkles and smile.

I had that growing up but in today's world where I live it's a "each man for himself" mentality. I miss togetherness.
