One person has seen me get really angry before because everything bottled up, a whole week of pure bs and i lost it (don't ask me how i managed to stay calm for a whole week, idk either). She saw me get annoyed or even shout a few times and considered it as 'angry' but when the week of bs happened (and after she saw me burst out all my anger), she just laughs at people's remarks that i'm angry when i shout. Glad she's still an acquaintance 'til now though. -Potato, INTJ

@@ZephyrAuraa he did take it seriously, and made sure to avoid me while he thought I was still mad (the little "dispute" we had lasted for two days- really it was me shutting down and not talking to him the first day and him avoiding me the next so that he wouldn't upset me again; I told him how I felt after I cooled down and collected myself). He hasn't done anything like that since. I ended up giving him some tools and a hoodie for Christmas, and he seems to be living in that new hoodie now😂 When we talked, I found out it was the only hoodie he had at the time since his ex still has his (they wore each other's hoodies), so I asked if getting him a hoodie would be a good idea and he said it would. He's never looked so happy in any hoodie before and I love how he seems to cuddle himself in it lol He's learned to read me and I've learned to be more communicative, so all is well rn😁 Thank you for your kind words!

Also it wouldn’t make me feel better to lose my cool in front of someone, I prefer to save it for when I get home and then lose my shit in private. I'm an INTJ, and that is pretty accurate. Whenever something gets on my nerves there's just the death glare of silent rage. When I was in highschool, all I had to do was look at my fellow students to get the message across that they were ticking me off by putting their feet on the back of my desk and shaking my desk while I was trying to work. All I had to do was look at them, and they took their feet off my desk without a word. When I'm angry, other people realize it when I look at them. Resting death face, I guess. But if it becomes an issue, I have to explain to people why I am angry with them, and if no one lets me explain my reasons or logic for being angry at them, I lose it, because it's hard for me to understand why they don't care 'why' I am angry with them. And if no one is there, I tell myself out loud why I am angry with them, and how to fix the person's behavior. But if I take it out on someone my anger usually comes out as a twisted form of passive aggression. Though honestly it's the small things that make me angry. There can be chaos, drama, everybody crying, people talking about stressful topics and such, and I just work through it all. It's small little things that get on my nerves, slowly building up over the week until I either take it out on someone with passive aggression, talk it out with someone I trust who won't question me every second, or I release the anger and stress by doing something productive or fun. It's similar to when I'm sad. I recognize I'm sad and what is making me sad. Thinking about it makes me more sad, but then I question if I should keep being sad, and then I recognize I hate being sad and miserable, until I finally do something productive or fun to make me stop being sad. Encouraging words from family often helps. My INFP dad is better at that than my ISTJ mother. My mother tries to console me by telling me it could be worse, and throws harsh realities of the future at me. My dad just listens and gives me hope for the future, or empathizes with what I'm going through by relating to his own experience with it. I know my mother is trying to help, but throwing the harsh reality of what could be worse at me is not exactly helpful to my current situation, and often doesn't even relate to the specific issue I'm dealing with or decide to open up to her about. ISTJs are often thought to be cold and insensitive, but my mother really does think she is helping me by listing off ways it could be worse. Like somehow telling me how bad it could be makes what I'm going through now seem less bad by comparison. I know she thinks of it in a way to cheer me up, but it only makes me more upset to think about how much worse it could be. Instead of seeing my situation as better by comparison, I instead end up thinking about the worst. She tries to help, but it just stresses me out more in the process. I had a talk with her a while back about it, and I finally said "You keep throwing all these harsh realities at me that I'm going to have to face one day, and I already know. But it's not helpful to what I'm going through 'right now.'" She gave me a puzzled look, but I could tell she latched onto the part of it not being 'helpful.' "When I open up to you, all I need, all I'm looking for is some encouragement or kind words to help me feel better and move on." My mother continued to look at me, but she was silent for a moment. "Like how?" she asked. "Well, you know; like 'I know you're a very smart girl. I know you can get through this.' You know, just kind words like that. Just encourage me instead of throwing harsh realities at me that I already know will become relevant one day," I said. "...I'm not really very good at that. But I can try to be more encouraging." -mom. It was the first time I'd actually reached this kind of understanding with her. INTJ daughter focused on what's in her head and ISTJ mother focused on reality and what's around her. ISTJs aren't insensitive or cold. It's just that they show love with a practical sense of logic that can come across as cold. Like maximizing the worst you'll face later to try and make you feel better about the problem you're having right now. Even if it's not exactly comforting, I think it's important to understand that when they do that they're trying to help you, even if it causes more stress to the person they're trying to help. I think a hard part for ISTJs is learning to be more encouraging and supportive with how they show their love and care for others, adding more warmth to their words, and focusing on the here and now instead of projecting so far into the future. For INTJs, I think we need to sometimes realize people don't always want to be 'fixed' and instead just want some encouragement and sympathy. It's very hard for me to just 'be there' for someone. I always try to fix their issue with a solution, and if there is no solution, I feel helpless and don't know how to make someone feel better without feeling awkward. Like, if I can't help you with your problem, then how can I help you at all? With time, I've come to realize sometimes all I have to say is 'I'm sorry you're going through that. That doesn't sound fun. I hope you feel better soon.' I try to show I care instead of jumping straight to fixing their problem. Like my mother, I can come across as insensitive when someone is upset and my way of 'helping' is to try and fix the problem without offering any sort of comfort to the person first. I have been told, by a creative writing instructor, that I was lacking in empathy, and when I heard that I was indignant. "I don't read to 'feel' an emotion. I read to learn something, or to find some valuable lesson or takeaway, or because it is a topic I am interested in. I don't read a book to feel sad, or angry, or depressed. Yet that's all my peers seem interested in writing about in this class. It's just a competition to see who can write the most tragic life story, without anyone rising above it or having a deeper message to it." I find it hard to empathize with people, especially strangers, because I don't know what they've gone through. Most of the time I fear I would say the wrong thing, make them even more upset somehow, or intrude on their privacy. For all I know they want to be left alone, and it's not really any of my business. But I have at least tried harder in recent years to show more empathy for my friends and family. If they tell me what's wrong, I ask if they're okay, how they're feeling, and how it must not be fun to go through that. And I mean it. I just had to be willing to listen to their heart before I listened with my head.

Holy crap, that INFP one is accurate. My brother (an INFP) got really mad at me, recently, had a rage-fit, and started bringing up stuff that happened 10 years ago (like this ONE TIME I didn’t let him sleep over, after he had gone out partying) 😂 Edit: Just got to the INTJ one. Yup, that’s also accurate. 👌 - INTJ

I've watched a few of these sketches today, and the ENTJ type matches one of my old co-workers completely. I guess I know that now. The INTJ one is accurate, up until we realize how much it'll cost to replace the computer and either destroy something cheaper or scream internally for the next hour.

as an infj I can calm myself a lot of the time, but there have been very few times it's gotten too overwhelimg and I end up losing my temper for like one or two seconds and it usually ends up being kinda extreme during those seconds. I can calm myself down really quick so it's like a tiny tiny glimpse of what I'm feeling. I mean I've never lost my shit in front of anyone but my close family and I'm literally terrified for the day when other ppl see me lose it but until then ig i'll just continue dying on the inside lmaooo

(ENFP) I dunno, my imaginary friends are so real that I don't need a sock puppet prop and yes, they all have names... 🙄 I just look over at them. start talking and they answer me back. Voila...problems resolved and venting has relieved stress...but no real people friends because everyone thinks I am insane. Also, meltdowns occur daily not weekly and are usually about some injustice in the world, a cause I believe in, or some personal failure to achieve a specific goal. Oh, and the 4-year-old imaginary friend has the very best ideas. Do you really wonder why we accept everyone else without judgement? We are way more "out there" than most people.
