I really appreciate using what you have on hand instead of purchasing what you might not need. I did purchase Angelina film for $1.39 for a 3 foot roll. I purchased four rolls and paid 4.35 shipping. Since I didn’t have anything close in my stash I thought it was a pretty decent deal. I can’t wait to try it out.

Another thing you could use is nail foil. Instead of peeling it, you could heat it for the same effect. It comes in rolls in an assortment of designs and colors.

I wish I could do resin still. I am now allergic and I can’t. I have a ton of products. $10k or more that’s just waisting away. I may try to do some outdoors when it gets warmer outside again.

I would go around the outside edge with some bling chain... not sure what they call it, but a chain of faux crystals. I hope you know what I am talking about lol Just put some into a coaster mold that has a raised edge on it and it's gorgeous! :D I am glad you figured this out. I did NOT want to buy something else, ya know? I actually have the uv film - put it on my craft room window. Thanks again!!!

Just had a thought the window cellophane spray it with ?icy pro Alcohol and then drip alcohol inks on it then spray it again, once dry place it into the coaster mould and use the resin as normal. Because it’s reflective the colours should sill be really shiny from it and because you have used different colours it should give you that effect your looking for🤗🤗🤗 I love this idea, I have some old window tinting off cuts and it’s which is mirrored on one side and the other side is see through. I think it should be great for making window decals to let the sunshine come through😍thanks for some great ideas🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Beautiful pieces! There’s definitely great potential there. It would look wonderful in a ring too.. the wrinkles may sit up too high tho. Would it be possible to bend the edges backwards before putting it in the mold? Or maybe wrap the foil around the glass that comes with the cabochons? That could work to help shape it, there wouldn’t be any visible edges that way. ‘Painting’ the foil with resin before putting it in, might help eliminate bubbles. I’ve done that with dried flowers (actually I dip them) and it works pretty well. Thanks for another great video Daniel, I always enjoy them!❤

Amazon has all sorts of holographic window film also other effects. There is also PVC films that are super cool. It's the same material as your window film. Thus you don't have to layer.

If I have a blemish in my pieces I try and find something like à jewel case or something and attach it to cover up. But it depends on where the blemish is.

Sweet! I actually have some of that window film on hand. It's tinted blue but has a reflective side as well. I actually think it might be vinyl. I have a heat gun also. Hmm? Thanks for sharing! Off topic but I simply had to share what I just discovered with you. I figure that you'll be most likely to see it on your most recent video. So, printing ink. It spreads through UV resin like ice on glass. Much faster but with a similar pattern. I'll let you know more as soon as I attempt to make a piece with it. I just did a test in a little disposable cup. I also tried some tattoo ink that kinda sinks but it's hard to tell for sure because I only put about a millimeter or millimeter and a half of resin in the bottom of a cup and the cup is white. I'm anxious to see what both will do. 🤔🧐

Epic fail. I haven't tried mixing the colors with alcohol or acetone yet. The printer ink did have somewhat of an interesting effect after I stirred it so I'm going to try using it alone with a stir to see what happens.

I have a pink/purple window film and when I do this technique it turns orange/ blue colors. its very interesting outcome.

Just in case you want to know, if you apply heat to that plastic tissue paper for gifts it wrinkles in a similar way. They have a iridescent color that is beautiful. I use a torch lighter or a heat gun, as long as it doesn’t leave any residue. I hope this helps 😊

Vinyl…do you mean like for a Cricut? This is very pretty! I watched someone who was using just paper and they waited until the bottom resin was tacky before laying it down and that worked on getting no busselst. Thank you!

On Amazon I bought a 4x10 aurora Angelina film for $5. And I bought 3 bags of different colors of the fibers for $7. But before those I paid $6. for a 7x12 piece of window film. That's plenty of product for a bunch of pieces of art. I thought the prices were all around the same. I don't know how much the vinyl is because I don't have a cricket.

Experimenting is so fun. If the film is made to protect art from fading,isn’t that Uv protection and so I wouldn’t think that the Uv resin would cure. Or did you just come the top?

It's reduces the uv significantly but not enough at close range with a 36W lamp 😊

Just a thought, as most people have t in their kitchen cupboards, what about putting the vinyl to tin foil. I had a go with it on its own had a nice crinkled look but got to be careful flattening it back out after scrunching cos well it breaks easylol. And mica powder doesn't stick to it to add colour

Have you tried the cellophane for gift bags and things? It's not sticky, but I wonder every time I see that fantasy film if it's just a couple of layers of the cellophane..
