The main reason I started to train my glutes was not for aesthetics, it was to address the chronic low back pain that I had for years. I thought that I was just going to live with the pain for the rest of my life but nothing could be further from the truth. I remember hearing Adam mentioning how he was able to overcome his chronic back pain and I was amazed to hear that it was even possible to do that. Not only that but achieve an ass to grass squat with no pain. So I started to train my glutes. I can’t believe that there was a time when I couldn’t even flex my glutes, that’s how disconnected I was. But slowly I was able to strengthen those muscles and my chronic back pain completely went away. Just the fact that I no longer have to deal with pain is so amazing. So thank you guys for that! I truly appreciate everything you do. I don’t even think you realize how much you’ve changed people’s lives. You’re so amazing and I hope you know it.

You guys bring it every damn episode! I used to be the guy who hated doing leg workouts… but now I feel like it’s never a workout without doing some sort of leg exercise! When my legs and glutes are strong and active, I can tell my overall movement throughout the day is so much better. Focusing on hip mobility, relaxing the hip flexors, and strengthening the glutes has made a world of difference. You guys have made me realize the importance of having strong, well developed glutes. Appreciate everything you guys do.

I spent years thinking I could build a butt with booty kicks and poor squat form, while eating under 1000 calories….you guys have helped me change how I think about fitness, my body and health. Now I am educating myself and getting pretty much all the certificates I can through NASM to be able educate others, and hopefully help people to look at resistance training and health in a more sustainable and realistic way🙏🏼 you guys rock 🤘🏼💪🏼

Never realized the importance of glute training. I started up my own personal training business this year, and I didn’t realize how many people can’t build a butt, or can’t connect to their glutes. Looking back, I also had trouble targeting my glutes, but you guys have helped me so much with targeting them and connecting to them! Now, time to apply that knowledge with my clients! You guys are so informative and entertaining… keep up the Good work.

I used to have a hard time targeting and developing my glutes, despite doing a plethora of leg exercises. Your information has helped me so much with priming, hip and ankle mobility, isometric holds, etc. Now that I’m connected with my glutes, my body feels 100x better! I’d love to see what the Butt Builder guide has to offer!

Touching the muscle you are trying to focus on is highly under rated! Literally even if it’s just for the first two reps it really does make a difference when it comes to trying to make that mind muscle connection. Also, just want to say really appreciate your content! Idk how long I’ve been listening to you guys (maybe like 3/4 years now 🤷🏻‍♀️) but the fact that you all grow and allow your opinions to change makes you all so much more real/authentic (whatever you want to call it). Thanks for blessing my ear holes and getting me through my workday!

I've been blessed with a bigger derriere, and I'm not complaining, but damnit! At 32, 5'5" @140lbs, I want more muscle! More definition! More TIGHTness! My boyfriend is a personal trainer. He JUST took an assessment picture of my stance: Adam hit it on the head! My posture totally loads my quads! And he has been telling me all about my calorie deficit that's caused me to be counterproductive in my training. I want strength, I want gains, but he tells me there is no way I'm going to get there if I don't increase my calories. As tough as that is for me to accept, I KNOW I need to eat more in order to build my desired look. You guys confirm that every podcast. Appreciate all your knowledge! Let's go!

I was/am in the same place. I kept saying “there’s no way I’m ‘undereating’ “ because i was seeing strength increase and I wasn’t losing weight or clothing sizes but back in august I started upping my *daily calories 50-100 per week and now 10 weeks Ive increased my calories by 25% and still haven’t had weight gain but the definition is much better and strength shot up for sure

I wait patiently for new episodes everyday 😝 sad when it is the weekend haha! Mind Pump is 💯the best fitness podcast ! I also love the chats, the guys have so many interesting things they talk about other than fitness and they are funny! The reason I started lifting weights a couple of years ago is to build a bigger and rounder butt! I never knew about all the health benefits of lifting until I started listening to Mind Pump and I’ve learnt soooooooooo much! I follow a lot of fitness people and honestly, the guys at mindpump explains everything better and make sense, sharing scientific information in normal day to day lingo! Some experts explain thing too scientifically and doesn’t make sense! Thanks for sharing all the info on glute training! Hope I win the bundle! 🍑need to grow my booty!

At 20 yrs old I was diagnosed with PCOS (and give medications such as the pill, metformin and aldactone) and now at 36 I've managed it without any of the medications. It's taken a while to build that self-trust and self-belief. However, through diet & exercise, I've learnt that it is Possible. Better habits and better knowledge. My goal, is to continue to learn to train better and do better. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I currently have Prime & Six pack abs, and would love to take it up a notch and train where it is now sustainable and of course change my body composition to build stronger and better glutes. Appreciate you guys much. Cheers.

I NEEDED this podcast! I've been re-building my butt after undereating and losing it... Well, all. I lost so much cm in my butt but after 4 months I've regain almost 5cm so I am very excited to see how far I can take it. Focusing on muscle is much better than on being the leanest. Also, my back problems are getting so much better because of my new and stronger butt. Thank you so much for all the advice guys, loved how you talked about it without any kind of judgment - you can be chasing a butt just for looks, but the health will be improved.

Thanks for another good show. It was perfect for me as I have issues activating my glut. I have your Prime Pkg and been working on mobility and triggering since this summer. I have been a sedentary sloth for 6.5 yrs since I developed Multiple Sclerosis, losing all my muscles, and my body is now covered in layers of blubber. This summer I realized my MS was doing better, and what was holding me back was my mind, and also my first Dr telling me not to push my CNS system. Last month I got a started weight set, now just need program to help me start using it. I was a healthy, in shape girl with muscles before, by all the activities I did. I have never been in gym too much or had program to follow so I NEED help, esp. now that I have MS and am on the wrong side of 40, eeek.

Hi guys, talking from Brazil, and as most of brazilians, I play soccer. Strong glutes are very important for sprinting and posture on the field, an so are single leg and split stance exercises to aproach the natural imbalances that come with years playing soccer. Me, for exemple, I'm a right foot guy, so my left leg is stronger and gives me more balance, since it's my support leg. But I always have to work on the strength and balance of the right foot, cause several times I have to control or kick the ball with my left. Great episode.

I don’t understand why the glutes are overlooked in a typical guy’s workout. They are so great and useful for so many movements. The exercise that has made my glutes burn the best afterwards was shoveling for 2 and a half hours one day last winter. Make sure you bend at the knees drive into the snow then stand up with the heavy shovel and toss the snow. Repeat ad nauseum. The only thing is that you can only do it in the winter unless you live in Alaska or something.

I have been trying so hard to build my glutes. When I was in my 20s my butt was very round and firm. I called it African booty because it sat up high on my back!🤣 Lol However now that I'm in my 30s, I find it so hard to get that mind muscle connection and now my butt sags. I have been sedentary for so long and have experienced knee and back pain from having weak glutes. I agree with everything you guys said from my experience those small isolation movements do help with mind muscle connection but they don't build a better butt. Barbell squats and deadlifts intimidate me when it comes to lifting heavier but I have to overcome this fear. Thank you so much for this video guys. It was right on time for me! Im grateful that I found this channel. I will continue to support you guys. I truly value the knowledge and wisdom all of you share. ❤💪🏾

@18:06 I noticed this fact when I did your guys but mod. Something happened, where I wasn’t as diligent with the second phase of it than I was the first phase. The first phase I followed to a T and added weight every time to all the exercises that called for it, and reps to all the others. I was apprehensive that squats with 9090 leg lift primer would actually be and effective glute exercise. I was apprehensive that only really 2 to 3 exercises would be effective. Man did you guys prove me wrong, and I come back to that MOD periodically and still see amazing results both in strength and the size of the peach lol.

@13:52 I get what you’re saying Adam about the programming not having progressive overload, or any mode for that matter, for women for glutes. However, do you think there is a place for that in the beginning? Normally, you just put these kinds of priming exercise into your warm-up. But say you have someone that you get to dead lift and you get to squat, And they still don’t quite feel it. But then super setting a body weight priming exercise in between the squats help with that? Similar to the blue mod you guys have, phase 2 part? I know that’s a different adaptation were after, but I wonder on a less intense scale if that would help clients field or glutes and compound with friends. Also, just my anecdotal experience, I only started feeling my clothes when I added to my warm-up on leg day, 100 on each side lying leg raises 100 body weight with bridges, squats with pulses at high reps. So going into the hire a branch did help for me for priming, because say, with the lying leg lifts I only started feeling that glutamine and side but area light up around maybe 60 or 65 the first time. Now I feel laid up right away, but I also feel my glutes and squats and other compound exercises (even in non-lower body exercises that require certain positions, like bent over row). If I have clients do something like this, I always preface it with the fact that this is not a muscle building exercise per se, it is not one of our bang for your buck exercises that we should be doing all the time, but that because you’re having trouble feeling your glutes, we’re doing these for you to really feel where we’re trying to target. Then I’ve noticed that does help in squats and Romanian deadlifts etc. just asking as someone who use this method of higher-ups to activate, who used to have no ass and now has a moderately sized decent badonk lol Edit: this is already so long, but wow I need to watch the whole video before I comment something. Thought I was past Lil kid tendencies 😅😂

My family teases me as Attack of the Culones (Brazilian and Bolivian and lifelong Star Wats geek). I used to play football (soccer) and being short, I have always trained and preferred leg training. Every leg excercise is a Glute excercise! so I'd like to throw a a few of my favourite you all omitted, Kettlebell swings, Uphill or stair sprinting, quasi isometric as to grass squats and unilateral deep range movement such as single leg rdl, cossack, sassov split , hunters s, pistol squats etc. Even as I lose weight in a recomp, when I do those the booty grows! lol cheers guys.

Are deadlift suppose to be performed with your chin tucked? That’s what I thought but the models in these demos aren’t doing that so I guess I was wrong.

Dangit! I just purchased the Ab program yesterday! But I'd probably prefer to have a good 🍑 instead. Getting below 15% body fat to have poppin abs is hard to do when your a woman approaching her mid 40's. It's all good, I'm going to bust my rump anyway so I can feel confident on the beach for my 45th bday in Hawaii in Feb! Love you guys, I watch your videos everyday! Life changing information! 🥰❤🤗

Yes it's all evolutionary. Some of us have better developed brains, others have better developed butts, we are trying to improve the former with formal education, you guys are trying to help develop the latter to balance the body. Love your clever name, mind pump!

I walk around 20,000 steps a day at my job. I’m pretty tired/sore by the end of the day. Do you have any advice for mobility and stretches or even foods to counter act that? I usually work out for at least an hour before work 4 times a week. I am 45 and started working out regularly just in the last few years. I’m 5’ 1. I try to eat over 2000 calories a day to keep from getting to thin. Whenever I’ve started working out in the past I get too thin and loose muscle mass. My goal is too keep and build my muscle mass to help me age well!
