picked up a 1634 London silver Seal top spoon at a thrift store for $5. Thrift stores are probably the best place to find rare spoons at a cheap price.

Yes exactly, I would say that most of my cutlery is from them and yes sometimes I find amazing and rare pieces. Most stores don't know what to look for, don't know the costs and or how rare it is so I would say it's the best and easy way to hunt and I would put a garage sale in the second place. PS.
