Bobsledding is crazy dangerous. For a bunch of dudes who had probably never seen snow before to get inside a bobsled with only a little practice and a lot of bad luck is still one of the best, gusiest, most bad ass Olympic stories I've ever heard
@locnar77710 жыл бұрын
they were great to see in person, i was at canada olympic park the day of the crash, and cheered.
@alejandragarza26703 жыл бұрын
Wow you where there. That’s amazing. Tell me how was it and the experience.
@locnar7773 жыл бұрын
It was cool. There was a cold snap so a lot of events were delayed so they held a bunch in one day and everyone who had tickets to on of the events got to see everything that went on that day. So 90 m ski jump, ariels, 4 man bobsled, nortic combined. So we got to see Eddie the eagle as well

@@locnar777 wow, you were really lucky! See so many venues. Ski jumping and sliding were in Calgary itself but the skiing events were at Mt Allen at Nakiska in Kananaskis and Canmore Nordic Centre .Canmore. I’m jealous

Did they do the slow clap like in the movie 😆

Who else is watching this in 2022? What a great legacy left by the 1988 team. In this year's Olympics, Jamaica qualified 3 bobsled teams and 1 skier. Amazing!!!!

I remember watching these guys and I remember the mood of the times and they made Bobsledding a must see event. Those guys rocked the Olympics that year and everyone wanted to know about these guys! I smiled watching this remembering back .... I am happy to see them back again! I have been an Olympic junky since I was a kid and these guys I will never forget- they put a smile on your face no matter what..

A real inspiring underdog story. They may not have medalled but they were the ones everyone was watching and who captured our hearts for decades to come. At the end of the day, their spirit is what it's all about, and the approach to life we should all aspire to.

Win or lose, ya can't beat the Jamaican attitude!!!! A gold medal should be awarded to them for that alone! Cool runnings, mon!
