Never even occurred to me that you would show us the store you've been referring to recently, until you said, there are skeptics out there... I guess I see their skepticism, but they obviously have not seen your other videos. You are always genuine ( I love your reviews of the other supposed GURU POD sellers, who really aren't - BTW), and your true audience appreciates that. For those that don't believe you, they can just click off - there are plenty of other POD videos on KZfaqrs that they can bother. Your true audience will follow you and take stock of all your lovely advice. Keep it up, I watch at least one of your videos every single day and always get a few new take-aways to apply to my own shops. 👍👍👊

Shimmy, I'd like to see you do this without spending $4800 on ads, us mere mortals cant afford to spend that much for advertising, heck some of us can barely afford $48. Sure I do realize initial profit can be dumped into advertising but those initial sales are the hard ones for most of us.

I am a fairly new viewer of your channel and I really appreciate the transparency. That said, I am against sharing everything on your store, exactly the reason you shared, copycat being the biggest reason. Joe Robert (another POD channel) wants to share everything on his new store, and I am pretty sure that niche/product will be copied to death. So sharing (too much) is not caring in POD, it will destroy that niche, that product and other sellers in that space. I think the amount you shared is just right. Thanks.

I understand. People will copy. What most people don’t understand just copying a store doesn’t mean sales. You have to build up community traffic and buyers. It’s so annoying they do this when most of the time they don’t sell anything. Also when you copy Images online they aren’t high quality such as 300 dpi. Most images are low quality jpgs at 72 which are not print quality. So not only they copy an image but it’d not even a good copy. Reminds me of those really bad knock offs in china town. 😂

Hi Shimmy. In a previous video I heard you say that a shopify store should be one niche, I’m confused about what niche you have for your Father’s Day designs (although I understand they can be evergreen) that can also include Christmas designs. Designs for Dads/men is a very broad niche, did you niche down, eg “dog dads”? Not expecting you to tell me the exact niche btw. My question really is “Is it ok to have a store with a broad niche and sub-niches within it?”
@shimmymorris1

I don't know where to stsrt my brand yet. ETSY seems to have alot of copycats, redbubbles fee's u hear are too much. If I go shopify, I need to cover the cost of orders for at least 5 business days. Pop up stores are not available for Canadians but if you're in Antarctica you're good Wtf.
@shimmymorris1
@shimmymorris1 Ай бұрын
5 business days? Who said that... We pay for ads + cost of goods with a credit card and then once a month pay of the card in full so there's no interest. When we get sales via paypal we get the money instantly. When it's through Shopify it's a little longer

Oh yes people will copy even worse take the design as is !! I have people stealing my images as is on my best sellers on Temu, private stores, Amazon, those are almost impossible to report, I'm not longer getting the anxiety attack anymore when I see my stolen design /images in someones elses store, I'm quite immune to the copy cats and thieves now days, I'm on my 2nd year on pod and I starting to see some profits and consistent sales, I have zero personalized listings bc I want to keep it passive as I can, even with no personalized listings, I'm still doing customer service daily! 😢

I think that if you want to succeed in this life you don't have to steal someone else idea or shop or design or niche, but with trial and error eventually you will be there. @@shimmymorris1 Hi Shimmy, sorry if I came off as a bit of a knob. I get frustrated that it feels like 2 steps forward and 4 steps back all the time. Here's a summery of the previous post that appears to have vanished, or never made it - who knows... perhaps it resonates with other subscribers to your channel as well. I've had an online store now for over a year, kind of stuck with the payment gateway options. I'm sceptical of PayPal but can't afford shopify, although I like their starter shop. I don't actually need hosting as I have my own servers. I had Gelato for some time but got rid of it as was paying for nothing really, but the shop has items still linked to Gelato but it's dead in the water. I'm at a cross roads and can't seem to get it off the ground. I am not married to Gelato but it's the payment gateway anxiety that seems to hold me back. I have Woocommerce installed and the shop it built on WP, which I personally hate. I was wondering if you'd ever consider a service where you review stores like mine and either assist getting them functional or advise on what is required - anyways, please let me know your thoughts.

Hey Shimmy, I'm from India and I got two instagram faceless pages in vintage cars and horror niche with 40k followers, 5k story views and 10k reels views with atleast 500 likes. I am doing this pages thing first times but got followers. Now I was looking for monetize this and randomly asked my followers in story if I would sell merch would you buy? I got some reply and I thought to give it a try. Cars page got Indian audience 50% and horror page got US audience 60%. I made an account on printify and started creating designs but yesterday I saw your channel. You got such a genuine vibe, that's what I felt. Now what do you think I should do- selling on printify for US audience and Blinkstore for Indian audience or anything soecific I should try? Should I create design by myself (I'm good at it by using canva) or should I use the tool creative fabrica? Sorry for putting up with such info but I am doing POD for the first time and it's overwhelming, exciting, and interesting...hmmm it seem like puberty (well, sorry for a bad joke). But please may tell me any advice or a thing to do?
