Stockholm in Sweden is absolutely beautiful - it really took us by surprise. We hadn't done a great deal of research on the Swedish capital before we arrived and we didn't have too long here, but it was incredible.
We took the Viking Line cruise on MS Gabriella from Helsinki in Finland to Stockholm. It takes around 17 hours across the Baltic Sea.
While in Stockholm, we tried to squeeze in as many sights as possible, in particular the Christmas Market in Stortorget in Gamla Stan (the Old Town).

The approach to the city through Stockholm's archipelago was particularly impressive. Going on a ship is a great way to see it, as well as get from A to B if you have time!
