In this episode of Next of Ken, we're counting down 17 Times Helena Bonham Carter Slayed As Bellatrix Lestrange. One of the most dangerous Death Eaters ever, Bellatrix is one evil witch whose passion, hatred, and terror almost rivals Voldemort himself. She bested Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, and many others in her time, but only one was brave enough to defeat her - Molly Weasley. And she could only be played by one person - the incredible Helena Bonham Carter. Here's to our favorite Death Eater - Bellatrix!

Belatrix's death in the film annoyed me. Molly did not defeat her so easily. Belatrix was fighting 3 people at once then threw a jinx at ginny. Molly then stepped in. They fought long & hard, so much so the ground below them cracked with the heat of magic. Molly was losing but belatrix's pride was her fall. She laughed & mocked Molly and Molly seized the moment at struck whilst she was distracted. the film death was an insult to the best deatheater!

the movie skipped so many things compared to the book specially in the Deathly hallows 1 and 2. Dobby's death is another...it was so emotional and all but the film missed too much Detail on that one too

The scene where Bellatrix tortured Hermione was one of the most terrific scenes filmed. Helena and Emma stayed in it, they didn’t even have have a script, they just did it. Plus the director said that he had to cut some scenes because they were so much horrific and scared for a movie ahah

Wish the words Bellatrix Lestrange said to Molly Weasley when they were dueling were included in the movie. They were pretty intense and quite condescending. In the book, Bellatrix Lestrange says to Molly Weasley "What will happen after I kill you? When mommy's gone the same way as Freddie?" I think if that line was included in the movie, it would have made Bellatrix Lestrange more savage as these words illustrate how Bellatrix Lestrange likes to inflict pain and sorrow on people and is quite confident about her abilities. Having Bellatrix Lestrange respond to Molly Weasley's comment "Not my daughter, you bitch!" with an equally condescending comment may put more light into both characters' personalities and help further emphasize Bellatrix Lestrange's lack of empathy.

When Bellatrix killed Sirius, theres a flash, a moment, in her expression that you can see she realized what she had just done. Sirius Black was her favourite cousin! She didnt want to kill him but she had to. Theres a flash of regret in her eyes. And its beautiful.

It was just a momentary shock over what she did Like she had high pride in her lineage and Sirius was part of the family which she held high respect for due to pure blood She must have momentarily felt remorse for killing pure blooded wizard who was her own cousin but then she was left with zero conscience so it didn't matter to her. Instead she quite enjoyed the fact she killed her cousin!

I just remember being ten and seeing her for the first time and freaking out cause HOLY CRAP FINALLY A CHARACTER WITH MY HAIR TYPE (this was way before "Brave")! Pretty sure someone at some point was like "um, Sarah, she's evil" and I was like "I DON'T CARE!" Aaaannnndddd then my last name is also Riddle so then things start getting a little...strange...but also totally awesome serendipity is on my side 🐍👑☠.

What I don’t like regarding the movie is how Sirius Black’s death was portrayed. Contrary to her Avada Kedavra, in the books she used Stupefy, and him falling into the veil is what killed him. I sometimes wonder if she feels bad because her intent was to stun him, not kill. They were cousins.

I have a love-hate relationship for this character. Hate because she killed Sirius Black, burned the Weasley family’s house, tortured Hermione, killed Dobby, and almost killed Ginny. Love because of how playful she can be and how fun her character is. Overall, Bellatrix Lestrange is a good addition to the epic tale of Harry Potter.👌
