A great day was had by all at Iarnród Éireann’s Inchicore Works, Dublin, that hosted an open day to celebrate its 175th Anniversary. Various examples of diesel and steam traction were on display, along with coaching stock and electric units. Visitors could also walk around Irish Rail’s vast engineering and maintenance facilities.
The RPSI also officially launched locomotive B134, after an extensive restoration which was carried out at Inchicore.
