i have one of these kept in storage new in the bags only built it up few months ago only down side is the filter rubber gave in so had to replace that, still have all the mags in the folders shells ect classic car :)

I bought the yokomo vauxhall astra Jason plato edition from nitro magazine back in the day to. It got lost in Time though unfortunately.

Nice. I built this car up from the magazines to. Mine lay in the rain outside for 10 years and I brought it and left it for 5 years in a cupboard. Got it fired up today for the very first time. Unreal

@Haggard RC I got it out and fired it up out of interest to see what would happen. Then I had tuning issues and KZfaq it and that's how I found this video.

When I was speaking to last time I tried a gxr couldn't get it going and tryed a nt16 engine in it and was just to slow ..I have few engine line about and thought a hpi big block engine will fit nicely into my kyosho alpha doin a small project but alot work in volved hopeing to run it in tomorrow just few bits and bobs to be done to finish ... Was hopeing would any know can you buy hopups for this like the suspension arms

yeah i rember those magazines with the parts way to expenive for what you got at the end . but the build process was great waithing for the nexst part . the frondt right upright is losse. by the way 👍😉

I have this exact model but cant remember the actual model number for it as i need a new fuel tank and a pull start so if you know the model number or where i can buy parts for it that would be great

Hahah the exhaust and the engine rattles itself loose you will need to loctite it 😂. Also bloody hell 25% is too much for it! 16% only 😂😂😂

Why is 16 percent nitro to much. Today there is so much oil in the fuel. I’m sure it’s a shim thing to change for different fuels. Am I right is it not that when shimming for the difference in fuels. You add a .2 mm shim if you go up in Nitro content from 20 to 30 % there should be a .2 mm shim added to the first one. Then again if you wanted to run 0 nitro it’s possible by removing the shim and adding a thinner one by a factor of roughly half the size of the stock shim. Then a lower grade nitro can be used and ran somewhat in line to what it should do 0 nitro no power 10% nitro a little punch 20% nitro regular grade 30% nitro hotter burning fuel = more power 🤘😎

16% is the fuel it is rated to run on… I’d rather not risk a heat seized engine (remember this is only a .12 engine) for the sake of a bit of extra gumption. Up to you what you use tho… Sounds like you know way more than me ;)

@@itsalexplayz2782 I have only been running nitro engines for about 2 years tops. Where I live stock settings are lean because it’s always humid here. If I didn’t learn how to keep a decent temp and tune the engines here would all overheat badly and die. But know more than you no bro I’m only in it for the fun. Pls do not leave fuel soaked towels laying in a ball in the corner there is always that slim chance static from dry or some conditions May and can cause combustion of the fuel And we’ve all seen nitro flames they’re hard to see in the daytime. Safety first bro we all want to see your channel for years to come. 😍🤘😎 I wish I had the nitros you got there. 🤭🤤
