Cool video bro I can agree no traxxas products on the savage..looks like u have a savage x roll cage on a savage .25 chassis..the axail engines are beast ...looks like some very bad hobbing.. the clutch bell is a after market clutch bell I've seen them way back .. just discovered your channel and subscribed...I have that same engine

Thanks dude. Yea it’s a mutt and a half. The guy I bought it from bought it that way. Some very creative mechanic skills involved for sure

@@rynks_rc yeah very creative lol but it's most definitely something to work with I have that same engine that's going in a savage XL ..I'd for sure check the trans and diffs ..if that's a savage. 21 or a .25 ..the body says it's a .21

RUN IT! How many times have you run any nitro, looked down at the carb to make adjustments or something and noticed a missing mount screw? Worst case you replace the engine best case it’s a screamer that just needed a chance. 👍🏻

Good deal for 100 bucks that's a x or 4.6 roll bar 3 bolts should hold it i have 2 nitro trucks with only 3 screws holding ,have no issues with them.

Maaaannnnnn T-Maxx rims and tires were the only ones i could find for my Savage 25 😂 I didn't wanna do it! But, like, i wanna run it!

You gotta do what you gotta do… atleast it’s running! You could swap to the 17mm hex’s and have more options but awesome to hear of an old 25 running

I'm sure none of this matter since I found this late..but bells not stock..15 tooth 49 spur is stock .grab bar is from newer x..tank is older..its got a primer on it,they dont n havent had that in forever..but the trans,carb,diffs,frame rails are worth what u paid👍🏾 have fun..I run strictly savages..I have a factory sealed still savage 21 from 2002 and ah factory in box savage ss😉 With 8 trucks sitting here with me No Traxxas allowed🤨😂👍🏾

You haven’t missed much. Looking to get into this as soon as I tie up some loose ends on a few other trucks. This one seems to be a parts been build. It’s got parts from all kinds of savages

3 screws should work fine for basic running....maybe fab a plate and longer screws to help it a bit.

I think 3 screws will hold as well. If I run it hard enough that they don’t I have other options. Thanks for checking it out

That looks like its a 4.6 engine savage x first gen block and they changed the cooling head and pull start parts its a 21 body but a lot of the parts are savage x from the first gen x wich is basically a 21/25 savage with some factory upgrades. The savage x model after the first gen is what most people are use to seeing with the x on the side plate and a couple of visual factory changes 💯👍✌️💪 there quite a few savage x models unfortunately they didn't alter the name so any one could tell the difference between them besides the new savage x gt6 wich is basically the same thing with factory changes/a few factory grades. 💯👍✌️🤭😉

The engine is a .32 axial. This truck is a total mutt. Thanks for checking it out
