Evident by the overall niche look i.e. a shallow riverbank where small tetras dominate instead of a cliché biotope in which angelfish & festive cichlids from deeper waters mingle with small tetras that do not actually occur in Nature. Beautiful tank, as the dead leaves break down how do you prevent the detritus from settling on the plants and killing them?

There is algae in the tank, but it is natural. Very pretty, i very like it, an inspiration. The wood, the dead leaves :-) It's like looking in a steam.

I see algae algae algae - on plants! An Aquarium is a artificial biotop and needs care, especially as the supplements the plants need are used up! CO-2 belongs in there, so that the algae are suppressed and the growth of the higher plants is strengthened!
