18rgeu is electronic fuel injected, whereas the 18rgu is not

@@FULLBOAR They are mate! I use mine as a daily driver. All original with the 18R-C but I did give her a bit of TLC when I picked it up a few years ago. Looking forward to seeing more videos of it.

Dedication. Probably not the easiest daily. But certainly got class. How does the 18R-C go getting to 100kmh?

@@FULLBOAR Yeah ride comfort pretty much zero haha, 18R-C goes ok, rebuilt carb, etc, does 100 ok, but sits on 90-95 more comfortably. A lot quicker than the 2.2L diesel in that model lol

Haha that’s awesome mate. I’ve done a bit of work with the 22R in my Bundera. I was told by a fella that advancing the cam timing really makes them fly. It really does. Wonder if that would apply to the 18r-c as they potentially had a retarded cam timing for emissions. Anyway, it’s always great to hear from other fellow Toyota lovers. And you’re right, those L engines are the slowest moving objects on the planet.

What concoction is Davo spraying into the engine bay and whats it doing? Mechanical wizard juice?

It's his special Wizard brew. He makes it in the backyard in large copper vats and runs it around in his 32 Ford with his mate Bonnie. You can purchase it from your local auto parts store in the form of Carburettor Cleaner. Its like starting fluid but you can clean your nail polish off with it.

Your options are pretty limited, you can either buy one or steal one, these are the two most common approaches, but you could also move to Australia which would greatly increase your chances of buying or stealing one. Just kidding, good luck with your search.

@@FULLBOAR Met a guy at the Ballinana tip shop the other day driving a rn40 4wd ute (with tub!) - bloody rusty though but still going. I am nearly at the point with mine that I can stop spinning wrenches and enjoy it a bit ...
