It was such an unfortunate event that happened to BB, so sorry for your loss. As a final year vet student, I have to admit that it is very disappointing to learn about the veterinary scene in Hong Kong. Like Dr. Chen said, we earn our degree through expensive education and years of hard work. I was once told that vets do not earn a salary proportionate to their working hours and effort, and I can tell you that it is true for many vets I know. However, just like any other industry, there are certain vets who do not live up to professional ethics. Clearly, legislation plays an important role and it is a matter that should be dealt with, so that the vets who made a mistake will face legal consequences. Despite of these unfortunate events, I hope owners will not lose faith in vets, since there are many vets who works with passion and compassion in the industry that deserve to be respected and applauded.

Hi Munwai - thanks a lot for your condolences. Absolutely agree with your comment - Owners and vets should not work against, but together to help our pets live better lives. Despite BB having a tragic outcome with Dr. Yip, vets and aspiring vets like Dr.Chen and yourself have instilled our faith in the overall veterinary scene again. Wishing you all the best in graduating!
