I had the exact same problem with one of my Hantarex models, TH2 one of the thin wires broke so i soldered a small copper wire to the post and connected the broken wire to that and now it works fine again!

Another good video! I've fixed a ton of these myself. I always check the B+ first the same way as you do, by removing the red and brown wires and connecting them to my 60W (might be 100W) incandescent light bulb. It's worth mentioning that the MTC900/E U.S.A. version which is what you have is 115v on the B+ (as you say), but the MTC900/E non U.S.A. version has a B+ of 126v. Quite often the problem is the TH2 driver transformer, you can get repro's of them. It's also worth saying that the Polo driver transformer isn't the same If I remember correctly (different ohms on the windings) but seems to work ok. There's also a video somewhere on KZfaq of someone fixing one of these and he re-winds the driver transformer himself! I noticed that it appears that your degauss wasn't hooked up though! The flybacks are definitely still available, they use a HR6020. To be honest, these chassis are different to the earlier MTC900 in a fair few areas even though they look similar. The 900 uses a separate vertically mounted power supply board, the rgb interface uses a mixer chip rather than a load of transistors, and the deflection board I think uses a different vertical deflection chip. Also the flyback is a HR6051 although i've seen HR6050 being quoted as well.

We have a k7000 with melted horizontal width coil. The yoke measures fine. Do you know what could have caused this? Our chassis has an original white knob flyback and it has cracked (like they all do)
