He faces a felony charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and misdemeanor charges of second-offense drunk driving, second-offense operating with prohibited blood-alcohol content, and operating after revocation.

Idk pretty much everyone I know drives after drinking and also doesn’t think twice about getting in someone else car after they’ve been drinking. Alcohol is just really normalized, everyone thinks 1-2 drinks equals nothing, and people ALWAYS overestimate their own driving abilities. It’s sad

I've had that same wakeup before, face in the airbag and someone knocking on the window. It's funny how quickly you snap back to action, like this kid getting right out and putting his hands behind his back. I wasn't drunk though, just stupid, and since I'd only hit a giant rock being used as barricade the guy knocking on my window helped me push the car into a nearby parking lot, I said "Thanks!" and I ran like the wind.

He ended up flipping a jeep and killing one of my friends and permanently injuring another. He walked away without a scratch…. Yet sadly when they’re that young they don’t see what we see. We can already see where this kids life is going and it’s nowhere good. All she sees and hears is the blonde tousled hair and the “I love you and CAN’T live without you”. And she thinks that’s really love. I have a grown son but no daughters and my son NEVER behaved like this kid. He started working at 15 and put himself through university and now has his engineering degree. I’d be mortified if my son acted like this kid and I’d wonder what the heck I did wrong.

He wasn't drunk, he was high, probably on Xanax by my guess. Kid had his wits about him for how far gone he is. No slurred speech, kept remembering "anything you say can and will be used against you". Not saying he hasn't drank anything, but the main source was something else. He was sober drunk.
